Matter
Characteristics of Matter :
 Matter are made up of very small particles.
 Particles are very small.
 There is some free space between particles of Matter.
 Particles of Matter attracts each other.
 Particles of Matter are Continuously Moving..
Movement of Particles
Diffusion
Diffusion is the net movement of anything (for example, atoms, ions, molecules, energy)
generally from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.
Classification of Matter
Solids

 Solids have fixed mass, shape and Volume

 Solids have high Density
 Solids are rigid & Incompressible
 Solids do not exhibit Diffusion
 Solids have higher intermolecular Interaction
Liquid

 Liquids have fixed mass,Volume but not shape.

 Liquids have low Density
 Liquids are not rigid but little bit Incompressible
 Liquids exhibit Diffusion
 Liquids have lower intermolecular Interaction
Gas

 Gases have fixed mass but not Shape & Volume

 Gases have very low Density
 Gases are highly Incompressible
 Gases exhibit Diffusion
 Gases have very lower intermolecular Interaction
Plasma
Bose-Einstein Condensate
