    ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLE


    MONTH CELEBRATION 2022

    The Vicente Almario Sr. Memorial


    School celebrated the Indigenous People
    Month Celebration with its theme “
    Pagtataguyod ng Pamayanang Kultural
    Para sa Isang Matatag na Pilipinas” last
    October 20, 2022. With different activities
    aligned, the pupils, parents and the
    community exhibited the rich cultures and
    traditions of the Indigenous Peoples in
    Mayo. The celebration aimed to support
    and raise awareness of cultural
    communities and hoped this will give us
    more awareness of the numerous contributions of National Indigenous Peoples Month.

    To showcase the rich artistic and cultural heritage, we included different activities like
    Runway Show of Contemporary and Traditional
    Indigenous Peoples Attires of Davao Oriental,
    Solidarity Lunch serving to the visitors the native
    delicacies available in our community, Cultural
    Dance performed by IP members in Barangay
    Mayo, Larong Lahi competed among pupils and the
    Narrative on Best Practices on Safeguarding
    Indigenous Cultural Heritage by our HPTA
    President, Ma’am Flordeliza Javier.

    Attending and participating in various events


    organized by the school, was an excellent way to
    learn more about our indigenous brothers and sisters so that efforts in preservation, promotion
    and transmission of intangible cultural heritage to the next generations will be initiated.
