Installation and Operating Instructions for M + S Motorcycle Alarm

TG 502
(80550Ver1)
these instructions must be read before installation for proper installation! Good knowledge of automotive electronics necessary. If these not exist, it is absolutely necessary, an expert should be mount the system.

Technical data:
Dimensions : Dimension of the siren : Power supply : Power Consumption : Frequency of remote control : Range of remote control : Supplied Accessories : 9 x 7 x 3 cm Dia. 5.5 cm, height 4 cm 12 volt electrical system 5 mA 433 MHz Band approximately 10 meters but by mounting position due 1 siren, 2 remote controls with batteries TYPE 23A 1 LED indicator, 1 cable and mounting kit

Alarm by vibration Please do not confuse with movement or change in position, to this end are optional M + S Accessories Alarm signaling via siren and flasher Alarm adjusting from 16 till 30 seconds Alarm signaling indicators only Silent alarm for 8 seconds Panic alarm Short alert triggered manually with the remote control Starter immobilizer on when an alarm Not connected Additional control inputs for optional M + S Accessories Such as Tilt, Shock, Tilt (gravitation) - or microwave sensor Additional control output for optional M + S Pager Additional acoustic and optical alarm signaling to a mobile radio receiver, which by means of belt clip on the "man" can be worn. All functions of the alarm remote-controlled "Arming", "disarming", panic alarm, sensitivity setting, etc. Sensitivity of shock sensor Adjustable in 8 steps via the remote control Alarm duration in steps From level 1 (16 seconds) in 2 second increments up to level 8 (30 seconds)

Notes for installation

The alarm system and the siren is waterproof. Please use the double sided tape. Clean the surface before mounting. Do not mount the alarm system near heat sources (exhaust, cylinder head, etc.) or ignition coil, CDI unit, spark plugs, etc. For assembling the indicator LED drill a hole of 6 mm diameter. Then fit the indicator LED from behind in the mount, until the two retaining lugs are engaged.

Note: The alarm system also consumes in off mode (stand by) energy. Therefore, on longer parking, without using a charger, it is necessary to disconnect the positive (red) wire to shut of the alarm, otherwise the motorcycle will not start anymore because the battery is discharged! The power consumption of Alarm system is about 0.12A per day and per month about 3,6 amps. If a vehicle battery discharged over a longer period, it will be damaged.
Range of the remote control
The frequency of 433Mhz is used by many other applications, such as wireless transmission of music etc., and all over Europe very overloaded. Therefore it can be significant loss of range. The controlling of the alarm system by third parties is excluded, however, because the radio system of the alarm system is coded!

Functions and operation

Arming the alarm system Pressing the A button on the remote control. This is followed by a acoustic signal and the hazard lights flashing once. After 3 seconds, the alarm system is ready. Disarming the alarm system Pressing the B button on the remote control. This is followed by a acoustic signal and the hazard lights flashing twice. Panic alarm trigger By pressing the C button on the remote control. This enables the siren and the hazard lights of a duration of 8 seconds. The alarm can be terminated by pressing the B button. Arming the alarm system for silent alarm. By pressing the button D on the remote control. This is followed only by flashing the hazard lights three times. Sensitivity adjustment Press in the disarmed state of the alarm system the buttons A and B At the same time until the siren beeps twice. Press button A (within 10 seconds), the sensitivity can set of 8 levels. Entering pauses of longer than 10 seconds, will store the value automatically If after pressing button A an acoustic signal appears, that the highest sensitivity level is set. Each pressing button A the sensitivity level is set to the next lower value. If the level 8 (minimum sensitivity) is achieved and the A remote control button pressed again, an acoustic signal will appear and it will switch to level 1. The sensitivity value is set by pressing the button B or if the Button A is not pressed more than 10 seconds. This is indicated by an audible signal. A Reading of stored value is not possible The stored value of the sensitivity of the alarm system will deleted if the power is disconnected from the on-board network and switch automatically back to level 1 (maximum).

Setting the alarm time

(Only for alarm on siren and flasher, silent alarm indicator is fixed to 8 seconds) Press in the disarmed state of the alarm system the buttons A and B on the remote control at the same time (but really a time) until the siren beeps twice. Press the button D (within 10 seconds), the alarm time to a maximum of 8 levels can be set. Pauses of longer than 10 seconds will the value store automatically. If appears an acoustic signal after pressing the button D the Stage 1 (30 seconds) is set. By additional pressing the button D the duration of the alarm time will be decreased by 2 seconds. If the level 8 (16 seconds) is reached and the button D is pressed again, an acoustic signal indicates you are again in stage 1 (30 seconds). The alarm time is saved by pressing the button B or, if button D is not pressed more than 10 seconds. This is indicated by an acoustic signal. A reading of the stored level is not possible. The stored value of the alarm time of the alarm system will deleted if the power is disconnected from the on-board network and switch automatically back to level 1 (30 seconds).

Note:
The remote control is not waterproofed. Therefore, the transmitter must always protect from moisture.
