Thank you for purchasing my Coco Presets.
I’m excited to share with you one of my favourite and most asked about colour tones—and hope you
are too!
Coco is one of my go-to presets. It’s sophisticated and works well with any image, creating a moody
look with rich, coco brown undertones and creamy highlights. Coco will add instant drama and
richness to your photos without degradation.
I love post-production—I’ve spent years developing and perfecting my editing skills and I hope that
you enjoy applying them to your photos as much as I have creating and refining them.
This guide is just a reference with some tips to get the most out of Coco. It’s intended for experienced
LR MOBILE PRESETS
mobile device and Adobe Lightroom mobile users.
MICAH GIANNELI
Coco comes in ten preset variations for different lighting and temperature conditions.

Installation3
Firstly—this set of Lightroom presets were created on Adobe Lightroom Classic (the desktop app)
version 9 (November 2019) and are in DNG format.
They are compatible with the Lightroom CC (mobile app) and even for both Lightroom Classic (for
desktop) and Lightroom CC (cloud based for desktop). I highly recommend updating to the latest
version of both desktop and mobile apps to ensure optimum compatibility.
That said, installing your new presets is easier than ever! Please note these instructions are for Apple
product users. It should be similar for Android users but please run a quick Google search if unsure.
LR MOBILE PRESETS
Assuming you’ve already unzipped the contents and have your DNG files on your camera roll. Then:
MICAH GIANNELI
1. Open up Lightroom.
2. Tap to go your library then next to ALBUMS tap then under CREATE NEW, tap
Album and type in PRESETS then OK.
3. Tap your new PRESETS album then and under Add Photos to PRESETS tap From
Camera Roll and select all 10 Coco Mobile Preset RAW (DNG) files then Add.
That's it! Your new Coco Presets will automatically appear in your PRESETS album and ready to use.
Once you've imported photos to edit (similar process as above), it's time to apply the presets.
1. Select the preset you want to use, then tap then Copy Settings and select all boxes then
.
2. Go back to your library by tapping twice then select the album containing the photo you
want to edit.

Preset Tips
There isn’t really any tweaking required. Just apply and go! But if your image isn’t coming out the way
you like—don’t worry, this is totally normal. All presets usually need some adjusting to get the most
out of it, even the ones that claim they don’t.
I developed Coco based on my fashion photos, shoot style and locations and your results may vary
depending on many factors such as camera and settings, lighting, location, image file type, etc.
All cameras are different, so every photo will have varying degrees of quality, image information,
colour rendering, dynamic range, etc. And all photos are unique with different subjects, lighting
conditions and file types, therefore will all edit differently.
That’s why I’ve created Coco for TEN different ambient lighting conditions to save you even more
time! The only two settings to worry about are under and .

PRIME LIGHT
PRESET
GIANNELI
Use this for the shots you’ve nailed! It’s exactly as it suggests – for shots that contain prime lighting
like cloudy or that metallic look with perfect white balance and exposure. Ideal for RAW files.
LR MOBILE
PRIME LIGHT – AUTO
MICAH
Similar to Prime Light but set to Auto – use this if your White Balance or the ambient lighting is a
little off. This is also ideal for JPEG files – if it doesn’t suit, set it to As Shot or Auto.
BRIGHT LIGHT
If your photo is a little overexposed or the lighting is bright, use this preset. Coco is meant to be
moody, so you may like to adjust the Exposure, Shadows and Highlights accordingly.
SUN LIGHT
Use this for bright, sunny conditions especially direct sunlight (that white, even kind not so much
orangey sunlight or sunset). Great for beachy locations and blue skies, it’ll amp up the blues and
reduce the yellows.
LOW LIGHT
This is good for shots that were taken super late in the day but not quite night, and for conditions
with minimal light. These shots usually contain noise and less colour so this preset not only bumps
up the lighting but the image quality as well.

LIGHTROOM
BACK LIGHT
This is ideal for back lit images. Just adjust the exposure accordingly and set the WB to As Shot or
Auto if the colour needs correcting.
BLUE LIGHT
This preset is great for photos on the cooler side – either shot in the shade on a sunny day or for late
day/early evening light. It corrects the overall temperature but if you feel it needs further adjusting,
just set the White Balance to Auto and adjust the blues or other shades in HSL/Color if you need to.
GREEN LIGHT
LR DESKTOP PRESETS
Sometimes indoor lighting or environments with greenery (e.g. under leafy trees) can give your
MICAH GIANNELI
photos a green tint. This preset will balance it out but if you like you can adjust the Temp and Tint or

YELLOW LIGHT
LR MOBILE
If your lighting is a little on the warm side – use this preset to balance out the yellow tones. Ideal
MICAH
for photos shot in sunny conditions in the shade with blue shadows warm reflections present, it’ll
reduce the yellows and the blues.
Great for direct, on-camera flash photos with ideal settings – e.g., white and bright without
overexposure, good white balance, etc. Perfect for indoors or outdoors. If the temperature isn’t ideal
you can set it to Flash, As Shot or Auto.
NOTES
Coco is universal and designed to be moody with a brown tone, so the only tweaking needed (if any)
is colour correction and lighting adjustments – so just alter these accordingly to get the most out of
the preset. The main being the White Balance – set it to either As Shot, Auto or Cloudy if need be.
It’s also created for RAW files in mind (which are much richer files and easier to work with than
JPEG). For JPEG files or photos taken on a smartphone, you may like to set the WB to Auto or As Shot.
For PSD files, you might want to set the WB – as you would have already processed and corrected the
colour and lighting in Photoshop first.
