Evidence

2013 Film
Evidence is a 2013 crime thriller film. It follows
two detectives on their investigation of a
brutal massacre, with their only leads being
recording devices found at the crime scene.

In this report we will see the different types of

evidence and identify the pieces of we can
see in the movie. In this report we will also
explain why these pieces of evidence are
relevant .
Type of evidence
Rule 130, Section 1. Object as evidence. – Objects as
evidence are those addressed to the senses of the
object or real evidence court. When an object is relevant to the fact in issue, it
may be exhibited to, examined or viewed by the court.

Rule 130, Section 2. Documentary evidence. – Writings,

recordings, photographs or any material containing
Documentary evidence letters, words, sounds, numbers, figures, symbols, or their
equivalent, or other modes of written expression offered
as proof of their contents

Oral or written assertions offered as proof of the truth

Testimonial evidence of what is being stated if the witness can perceive and
in perceiving can make known his perception to others

The following pieces of evidence mentioned
in the previous slide are relevant to the case
in order to prove that there is an actual,
physical or "autoptic" evidence: those which
have a direct relation or part in the fact or
incident sought to be proven and those
brought to the court for personal examination

Moreover, the said pieces of evidence are

relevant as they are being offered to support
or draw an inference or to aid in
comprehending the verbal testimony of a
witness.

video recording
Video recording is an important
piece of evidence. It is the
traditional evidence addressed
to the senses of the court like
where the court will have to
hear or see it.

This type of evidence is

important because it contains
records. It may be record of
time, events, or places
T
testimonial evidence
Testimony of the
police
At the end of the movie there were two
victim survivors: Lean and Rachel. However, in
the video they released, they testified that
they are the actual killers. They tampered all
the pieces of evidence to make it look like
they were not the suspects.

Testimonial evidence is important because it

is conversely the most indispensable
evidence. Neither object nor documentary
evidence can be presented within an
accompanying testimony. It is through
testimonial evidence that objects and
documents are identified, authenticated and
given relevance. Testimonial evidence
therefore gives context to the other types of
evidence. Indeed, objects and documents, as
evidence, must be “sponsored” by a witness
