SCENARIO-6: 2G/3G ONLY + OUTDOOR + INSUFFICIENT SPACE SWAP

Step 4: Power on ZTE BS8900A and set it on air.


Step 3: Move the BS8900A onto the frame,
To Existing BSC/RNC Reconnect the power cable, TRM cable, Alarm
cable ,GND cable and ½ jumpers. VSWR & Power
measurement.
Step 1: Before swap. First put ZTE BS8900A aside.
Step 2: Downtime. Power off existing BTS. VSWR &
Power measurement. Disconnect the power cable,
TRM cable, Alarm cable ,GND cable and ½ jumpers,
Remove the Old BTS/Nodeb.

The ZXSDR BS8900A GU360 is an outdoor dual-mode Macro base station,
it consists of various cabinet.

Installation Requirements

n A stable concrete base required to support the ZXSDR


BS8900A GU360 outdoor Macro base station.

Concrete base requirements:-

Concrete base should be level with a slope no


greater than 1.5mm/m
Concrete base must have compressive strength
greater than 25 N/mm
Dimension of concrete base must be appropriate
for cabinet installation 800*800*110(L*W*H) in mm

Material check and unpacking as per BOQ in presence of Customer ,ZTE and
Partners.

Scenario 6: 2G ONLY + OUTDOOR + INSUFFICIENT SPACE SWAP
Step 1-Before swap, put the ZTE BTS8900A BTS
aside.
Step 2- Down time ,VSWR & Power measurement of
existing BTS. Power off existing BTS . Disconnect
Power cable, TRM cable , Alarm Cable , GND Cable
and ½ jumpers and de-install Old BTS.
Step 3-Move the BS8900A onto that planned layout,
Reconnect the power cable, TRM cable, Alarm
cable ,GND cable and ½ jumpers.
Step 4- VSWR & Power measurement of New BTS
Step 5: Power on ZTE BS8900A and set it on air.

Fixing the rain cap

Put the rain cap on the top of cabinet.


Fix the rain cap with four washers and M12 Allen bolts as shown in figs.

Drill the fastening holes and mount the expansion anchor


bolts .(Drill bit 20 and length 110mm

Securing the cabinet base

Align the base holes with fastening holes on concrete ground. And secure
the cabinet base with four bolts as shown in above pics.

Verifying the insulation

n Use a multimeter to verify that the cabinet base is insulated


from the earth.

Installing RC8910A Cabinet

n Align the holes on the latches with the fastening holes on the base and fasten the
two latches with M6 Allen bolts.
n Lay the cabinet on the base, push it until the latches are fully inserted into the
aligning holes.
n Open the front door and secure the cabinet on the base with two rubber washers
and two M12 Allen bolts

Installing RF systems units

After wearing the grounding ESD wrist strap , hold


the handle of RSU with one hand and hold the bottom
of RSU on other hand. Then align the RSU with the
slot, and push the RSU slowly into the slot.

Water proofing Process-
Weather proofing process Steps:-
1- Wrap three layer of insulation tape on
connector :
2- Wrap three layers of water-proof daub.
3- Finally, wrap three layer of insulation tape
again.
Wrapping requirement: Wrap one layer from
bottom upward, one layer from top to bottom, and
finally one layer from bottom upward..

Feeder Routing

1. Distance between

n If the length of a feeder = 20m, then ground it at two points, one within 2m from the antenna
feeder connector and the other that is near the outdoor feeder window and connected to the
outdoor ground bar;
n If 20m < its length = 60m, add a ground point with 2m from the point where it leaves the iron
tower or the rooftop;
n If its length >60m, it is required to add one more ground point for every 20 more meters.
