Read through all the instruc ons before star ng installa on.
No fica ons and waring texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something
breaking during installa on.
Certain steps in the instruc ons are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is
also given for more complicated steps.
Only experienced installers should install the product.
The warranty form must be filled in with all the required informa on.

Installation Instruction

Note: The picture indicates parts that must be removed from a vehicle’s cargo compartment.
All the vehicles are not the same and the parts will be different depending on the vehicle’s
make and model.

The installer must be


able to recognise the
parts that need to be
removed from the vehicle’s
cargo compartment.

It is necessary to remove
these parts to gain access
to the vehicle’s back lights
electrical wiring system.
This is where the towbar harness
will be connected.

The left hand side and right hand side panels must me removed.

Once the side panels are removed the installer will be able to gain access to the
vehicle’s electrical wiring system.

For some vehicles the tail light unit


must be removed to gain access
to the vehicle’s electrical
wiring system.

Installation Instruction

Route and Connect the Towbar harness, Route and Connect the Towbar harness,
Yellow - Left indicator function wire, Green - Right indicator function wire,
to the vehicle’s left indicator function wire. to the vehicle’s right indicator function wire.

Route and Connect the Towbar harness,


Red - Brake lights function wire,
to the vehicle’s brake lights function wire.

Route and Connect the Towbar harness,


Black - Tail light function wire,
Route and Connect the Towbar to the vehicle’s tail lights function wire.

Universal Towbar Wiring System

Warranty Registration

The 1 Year Warranty:

CHM warrants to the original purchaser of this Universal Towbar Harness System that the product is free of defects
in design, material or workmanship under normal use and service for 5 years of original vehicle to which it has been
fitted, subject to the following conditions:

1. The initial and any subsequent fitment or repair is carried out by an accredited fitment centre.

2. The vehicle being returned for inspection and testing of the Universal Towbar Harness System every twenty four
(24) months.

3. The warranty excludes impact damage or damage caused through abnormal road or driving conditions and any
modifications made to the Universal Towbar Harness System.

4. Warranty becomes null and void if the Universal Towbar Harness System is removed and fitted on
another vehicle.

It is the responsibility of the Dealer, Fitment Center or Distributor to inform the customer / owner know to register
the Universal Towbar Harness System installation.
