Abstract
5g technology stands for 5th generation mobile technology, the
next major phase of mobile telecommunication standards beyond
the 4g standards.5g technology will change the way most high
bandwidth user access their phones.with 5g pushed over a voip
enabled device, people will experience a level of call volume and
data transmission never experienced before.5g technologies are
offering the service in product
engineering,documentation,supporting electronic transitions,etc.
5g technologies will change the way most high bandwidth users
access their mobile radio communication(mrc).the most
important technology for 5g technologies are 802.16 Wireless
local area networks(wlan) And 802.16 Wireless metropolitan area
networks (wman),ad-hoc wireless personal area
network(wpan)and wireless networks for digital
communication[1].

Introduction
Discussions of the evolution of mobile classify the
various technologies into different “generations.”
The first generation of mobile was, compared to
networks in use today, quite rudimentary. It was
focused purely on basic voice service, and was an
analog (as opposed to digital) service.

The second generation of wireless was still designed

for voice, but made the switch to digital standards.
2G saw the development of both GSM and CDMA
standards—both of which are still widely in use for
voice communications today. These protocols made
significant improvements in terms of coverage and
capacity over the analog networks of the first
wireless generation, but were not adequate for large-
scale data use.

The third generation introduced data services,

expanding the functionality beyond voice and
including multimedia, texting and some limited
internet access. It was not until 4G that we got a full
Internet Protocol (IP)-based specification. The
primary 4G protocol— LTE—was designed to support
mobile broadband, and is the dominant industry
standard today. The waves of new generations of
technology have come in roughly decade-long
cycles, 1G mobile voice in the 1980s, 2G in the
1990s, 3G basic data in the 2000s, and 4G LTE data
in the 2010s.

5G is not yet defined, and it is not clear that a single

standard will drive the shift to the next generation of
wireless technology. In fact, “5G” is used to refer to
a number of different technologies, and not
necessarily a particular standard or specification.[2].
What is 5G ?
5G Wireless System is a complete wireless
communication with almost no limitation; somehow
people called it REAL wireless world. But till present day
5G wireless system concept is only theory and not real,
so it is not applicable for use. 5G (5th generation mobile
networks or 5th generation wireless systems) is a
technology used in research papers and projects to
denote the next major phase of mobile
telecommunication standards beyond 4G. 5G is not
officially used for any specification or official document
yet made public by telecommunication companies or
standardization bodies. New standard releases beyond
4G are in progress by standardization bodies, but are at
this time not considered as new mobile generations but
under the 4G umbrella. The implementation of standards
under a 5G umbrella would likely be around the year of
2020[3].

5G will lift mobile into a technology that changes the world

5G mobile technology will, like electricity or the

automobile, benefit entire economies and benefit entire
societies. This is because the global 5G standard (5G
New Radio) will advance mobile from largely a set of
technologies connecting people-to-people and people-to-
information to a unified connectivity fabric connecting
people to everything[4].
$12.3 trillion

$12.3trillion
Enabling a broad set of industries.
In 2035, when 5G’s full economic benefit should be
realized across the globe, a broad range of industries –
from retail to education, transportation to
entertainment, and everything in between – could
produce up to $12.3 trillion worth of goods and services
enabled by 5G mobile technology .

22million jobs
Supporting a thriving value chain
The 5G mobile value chain alone could
generate up to $3.5 trillion in revenue in 2035,
and support up to 22 million jobs.
$3.0Trillion
Driving global GDP growth
Over time, the total contribution of 5G to Real
Global GDP growth is expected to be
equivalent to a country the size of India. India
currently ranks as the seventh largest
economy in the world [4].
5G will be the platform for invention

Across the board, people truly believe 5G

mobile technology will bring new opportunity.
Most believe it will enable new products and
services that have yet to be invented, increase
productivity, allow for new industries to
emerge and make education more accessible.

 91% Expect new products and services that

have yet to be invented.

 89% Expect increased productivity

 87% Expect industries to emerge

 83% Expect small business growth and more

global competition[5].
All the way to 5G
As we approach 2020 it is likely that there will be more
than 50 billion connected devices worldwide and The
Internet of Things will no longer be something we think
about but will be all around us. Everything from home
appliances to our cars will be connected to the network,
and 5G is being designed and built with this in mind.

Not only will more devices be connected to the 5G

network than we’ve ever imagined, but the network will
do everything better than 4G. This includes providing the
capability and capacity for high resolution video
streaming such as ultra high definition 4K video.

Privacy and security are also key considerations, so 5G

will include extra capabilities to ensure that customer
information is protected and our devices are harder to
hack[6].
Features of 5g technology
 5G technology offer high resolution for crazy cell phone
users.
 The advanced billing interfaces of 5G technology makes it
more attractive and effective.
 5G technology also providing subscriber supervision tools
for fast action.
 The high quality services of 5G technology based on Policy
to avoid error.
 5G technology is providing large broadcasting of data in
Gigabit which supporting almost 65,000 connections.
 The traffic statistics by 5G technology makes it more
accurate.
 Through remote management offered by 5G technology a
user can get better and fast solution.
 The remote diagnostics also a great feature of 5G
technology.
 The 5G technology is providing up to 25 Mbps connectivity
speed.
 The 5G technology also support virtual private network.
 The uploading and downloading speed of 5G network
touching the peak.
 A new revolution of 5G technology is about to begin
because 5G technology going to give tough completion to
normal computer and laptops whose marketplace value will
be effected.
 There are lots of improvements from 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G
to 5G in the world of telecommunications. The new coming
5G technology is available in the market in affordable rates,
high peak future and much reliability than its preceding
technologies[7]
Advantages of 5G

5G will be significantly faster than 4G, allowing for

higher productivity across all capable devices with a
theoretical download speed of 10,000 Mbps. Plus, with
greater bandwidth comes faster download speeds and
the ability to run more complex mobile internet apps[8].

Disadvantages

 Speed is not so high as it is theoretically

 Old 802.11n devices can’t support a new one –
Hardware replacement is required
 Higher cost
 All Client devices still don’t support 802.11ac
 Speed and Performance of device can vary for
different devices
 Possible problems with interference between other
802.11ac devices[9].

Conclusion
There are some other projects, which are undertaken ay
5G technologies. Here we want to mention that 3G
mobiles are working these days, and 4G technologies
are coming, but in future we are ready to face 5G
technologies and some of its features we have
presented in this paper[10].
