Hindalco Industries Limited, Muri Works - Area Head, White Area Operation
● Heading white area operation team to plan, control, coordinate, monitor and review of Plate
Heat Exchangers, Agglomeration, Precipitation reactors, Cyclone separation and Disc filtration
sections.
● Responsible for management of Operation & volume, Cost, Safety & Environment, Process
control& Quality management, system development and subordinate development.
● Directly carried out some breakthrough projects in Alumina Plant i.e. Installation of Swirl flow
agitation system, Vanadium recovery plant debottlenecking and capacity enhancement.

Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh - Assistant Manager(Sub-area In-charge, White Plant)

● Responsible for production planning, scheduling and smooth execution of operation and
maintenance activities in White area of the Alumina refinery. Involved in Material requirement
planning, master production scheduling, purchase requests, Technical Bid Evaluations etc.
● To prepare mass and energy balance, PFD, P&ID, Pump sizing, Line sizing with pressure drop
calculations for new project and conduct HAZOP to ensure the fail proof system with necessary
safety interlocks.
● Have carried out and led in three breakthrough innovations to (i) improve reliability of Spent
liquor pumps, (ii)to increase Net liquor productivity in Bayers circuit (iii)to reduce specific energy
consumption in Alumina Refinery. Have been involved in many high impact debottleneck projects
in Hydrate classification and seed filtration unit.
● Have studied more than 300 research papers on Latest development and technical innovations
in Metals and Mining industry and based on that have carried out more than 10 projects among
which two projects have won international awards.
● Prepare daily production MIS report, monthly performance report of process as well as major
equipment.
● Profound knowledge of operations and maintenance of welded plate wide gap heat exchangers,
agitators, tanks, vertical vacuum disc filters, cyclones, thickeners, blowers and vacuum pumps.
● Well versed with local and international standards, statutory and regulatory specifications of
Metals and Mining industry.

QCFI Coimbatore Chapter and awarded GOLD at CCQC-2020 organized by QCFI Rourkela chapter.
● Achieved highest ever Average net liquor productivity of 88 GPL in January 2022 with the
means of many high impact projects and continuous improvements in Precipitation circuit. For
that got recognized with BU CEO award in February 2022.
● Multiple times awarded with CEO Kitty and got Business unit top performer award for many high
impact projects and several innovative projects led by self in Alumina Refinery.
