Title : Technical proposal for Modernization of Database Management System


Laboratory.

Executive Summary : To Set Up Latest Software in Computer DBMS Lab to help the
Student To Get Acquainted with Oracle Software.

Introduction : The Installation of Oracle Software Plays an Important Role in Computer


Engineering Students and Their Career Development. It becomes very Essential for
students to Master these Software Oracle is setup in the DBMS lab to help them out. It is
one of the oldest database management companies in the world. It has always focused on
enterprise needs and kept up with the newest technological developments. As a result, its
products are constantly updated with new features. For example, the most recent Oracle
database, 19C, is also available on Oracle Cloud. Oracle allows users to select from
various database editions to meet their specific demands with a cost-effective
solution.Oracle Corporation is the largest software company to develop and markets
computer software applications for business. The company is best known for its Oracle
database products and, more recently, cloud products and services. Its relational database
was the first to support SQL, which has since become the industry standard.

Oracle database is one of the most trusted and widely used relational database engines.
The biggest rival of Oracle database is Microsoft's SQL Server.Oracle database is
compatible with a wide range of platforms such as Windows, UNIX, Linux, and macOS.
It supports several operating systems like IBM AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Microsoft Windows
Server, Solaris, SunOS, macOS, etc. In the late 1990s, Oracle began supporting open
platforms like GNU/Linux.

Statement of Problem : Student cannot get the Knowledge about Oracle Software
and how to handle this software without oracle we cannot easily store and retrieve related
the database information.
Objectives :

● Provides a secure hybrid cloud environment


● Offers better identity management and user controls
● Provides superior scalability
● Executes quick backup and recovery
● Reduces operations costs

Technical Plan And Management Plan :

The Required Oracle software will be downloaded from oracle.com and the
internet connection will be manage by Rajendra Mane college of Engineering and
technology.Installation of the software will take around 10 days. The Monitoring
will be done Throughout the Year. the software used by the student in the practical
hour. The lab Assistant check the software weekly and maintain it.

Cost Estimation :

The estimated cost is around 7,500 Rs.

Conclusion :

The Installation of oracle software in the DBMS lab will help the student increase
knowledge and interest in learning.
