    The PowerEdge FC640 delivers powerful performing processors,
    large memory capacity and highly scalable I/O capability that meet
    virtualization, server consolidation, scale-out, private cloud or hybrid

    Powerful 2-socket modular architecture server


    A flexible, two-socket half-height/width compute sled powered by up to two 28-core, Intel® 2nd generation Xeon® Scalable
    processors, each FC640 supports up to 2TB of DDR4 memory, making it a perfect candidate for dense virtualization
    environments, software defined storage, databases, HPC, big data analytics, and private cloud workloads. The FC640
    storage options include two 2.5-inch drives, with an option of NVMe PCIe SSDs for high perfoming direct attached storage
    requirements. The FX2 chassis supports up to four FC640 servers. SDS environment support now includes VMware
    vSAN with the HBA330 controller.
