BUSINESS

1 Are there many small businesses in the place where you live?

Yes, there are. I live in Thu Duc city where has a variety of small businesses like
groceries, bakeries, drug stores,…

2 Do you prefer to buy things from a small business or a large company?

I think I prefer buying something from a small business because I can buy many
different products with affordable prices.

3 Do you want to work in a small business?

To be honest, I prefer working in a large company to working in a small business.


Because if I work in a factory, I will have more relationships to help me with difficulties in
working.

4 Have you ever thought about starting your own business?

No, I haven’t. Because I am a freshman, I need to improve myself and learn more
knowledges.

BUILDING

1 Do you like old buildings?

Yes, I do. I really like historic buildings because they carry unique charm and their
stories in the past.

2 What's your favorite old building in your country?

I really love Hue citadel. Its ancient beauty impresses me. Moreover, Hue citadel is also
famous for its picturesque sceneries.

3 Would you prefer to live in a modern or old building?

I prefer living in a modern building, because it can bring us lots of advanced


conveniences such as being able to install many high-tech facilities.

4 What problems can old buildings have?


Old buildings can lead to several problems like roof issues, lack of energy, mold and
mildew

POLITE

1 Are you a polite person?

Yes, I think I’m a polite person. I don’t become angry with people unless they deserve it.
And when I make mistakes, I’ll apologize.

2 Do you think people should be polite?

Yes, I do. I always think people should be polite with each other in order to build a better
community

3 How do people in your culture show good manners towards others?

People in my culture can show good manners towards others in many various ways:
crossing arms (khoanh tay) and bowing head (cúi đầu) to greet the elders, nodding
head (gật đầu) or shaking hands ( bắt tay) slightly (nhẹ nhàng) with a bright smile with
people whom we first met, waiting for the oldest person to start the meal first…

4 Who taught you to be polite?

My parents always taught me to be polite when I was a kid.

5 How important is politeness for you?

From my point of view, I think politeness is so important in different situations. When we


are polite, people will like to talk with us. By our politeness we can get great works done
in lesser time. So, for a peaceful life and successful life, politeness is one of the best
ways.

SOCIAL MEDIA

1 Do you like using social media?

Yes, I do. I often use social media like smartphones, laptops… in order to play games,
watch movies, chat with my friends in my free time

2 Do you think that you are using too much social media?

Yes, I do. Except for the time studying at school, hanging out with friends, and personal
activities, I spend most of my time on using social media

3 Do you want to work in social media?


Yes, I do. I think working in social media can bring us several benefits: saving time,
providing more conveniences, entertaining, studying and working more effectively

4 What’s the most popular social media in Vietnam?

I think the most common social media in Vietnam is smartphone. It is a small,


convenient and portable device. It can bring us a lot of benefit. Smartphone is a great
mean of education. For ex: we can learn better at many subjects by using smartphone
to find good solutions to the exercises. From this, we can get high scores. Besides that,
smartphone is also a mean of entertainment. It can help us relieve stress after a hard
working hours.

FAMILY

1 Who are you close to your family?

I am close to my mom most. Because she is similiar to my best friend, who can share
my happiness and sadness in my studying and living.

2 Do you often spend time with your family and friends?

Yes, I do. Every night, I usually spend my time on watching television with my family.
Besides that, I often hang out with my friends for enjoyment.

3 Have you ever had a disagreement with a family member?

Yes, I have. I have had a disagreement with my mom about my studying.

4 Should we realize heavily on our families or is it better to be independent?

I think it is better for us to be independent, because it can bring us several


advantages. One of them is helping us become more independent and self-reliant.
Moreover, it also helps us have more chances to face various challenges such as
adapting to a new environment, building new relationships…

GAMES

1 What games are popular in your country?

Well, there are many games to list. But actually (thật ra), I think “Mobile legends” is one
of the most popular games. I think most youngsters (thanh thiếu niên) nowadays are
crazy about it. This game is extremely popular among high school students partly
because it is inspired ( được truyền cảm hứng) by mythology (thần thoại) and
superheroes.
2 Do you play any games?

Yes, I do. Playing games is one of my habbits. I often play online games on my
smartphone so as to reduce stress after a hard working studying

3 How do people learn to play games in your country?


People in my country can learn how to play games in various ways: watching
instructional videos of online games on Youtube, Facebook, and many other social
networks. In addition, with multiplayer online games, you will meet players from all over
the world and we all learn from each other.

4 Do you think it’s important for people to play games?

For me, it’s up to you. If I say yes, playing games help you a lot, especially in
entertainment. But if I say no, that’s will be ok. Because there are many people who live
without playing games, it's a personal thing, like a hobby or interest, but it's not
important in the sense that everyone needs to do it.

5 Do you think playing games is a waste of time?

From my perspective (Từ quan điểm của tôi), I don’t think playing games is a waste
of time if you know how to organize and spend time on it properly.

6 What are some health benefits of playing games?

Playing games can bring us many benefits, especially health benefits. First of all,
many games often require strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Engaging in such activities can enhance cognitive abilities, including memory and lots
of useful skills. Another one is playing games can be a fun and effective way to
reduce stress. It provides us a good opportunity to escape from daily pressures and
focus on enjoyable activities. Last but not least, it is one of the ways to create a
sense of belonging among players.
