After you have made a few
letters of the alphabet using
the template... make a
notebook for students to
refer back to...I find books
that we make in class are
very popular during quiet
reading time.

Your child can make all the letters of the alphabet using these four
pieces. I would cut these pieces out andthen cut many of each
shape. You may wish to cut them from scrapbooking paper to make
them more colorful; or your child could paint them with watercolors. I
made these templates using card stock as it made them more durable.
Possibilities are endless.

Download and print the following 4 pages.
Cut out uppercase T and lowercase T pages and also the T pictures. Have your
preschooler place the correct letters and pictures on the Letter T Grid. When
your child does this same practice with other letters, he/she will be practicing
letter-sound relationship and letter recognition skills. Have fun! It is
recommended that you start with one letter then add another letter. So, for
instance, he/she starts with only the letter M but later adds the letter T. The 2nd
time he will be recognizing the difference between M and T; and pronouncing
the sound of each letter. This works best if a more experienced letter person
guides the sounds and pictures as the preschooler learns. Before long, your child
will be able to match-say-read all the letters of the alphabet.
