INTRODUCTION

Background of the study

People live in a digital environment today. Moreover, people's

lifestyles have affected the way their habits. Shifting to online shopping, replacing the

traditional methods of shopping. Online shopping is the process of purchasing goods

directly from a seller without the use of a physical store. Customers can browse online

shopping stores while lounging in their homes or while seated, fronting the computer.

Many customers have access to the Internet, both at work and at home. Online retailers

are typically open twenty-four hours a day. So, like a teacher, online shopping is very

convenient for them.

Online shopping is searching for and purchasing goods and services over the internet

through the use of a web browser. The main allure of online shopping is that consumers

can find purchase items they need ( which are then shipped to their front door) without

ever leaving the house. Today, almost anything can be purchased through online

shopping, amounting to billions of dollars a year in sales. Some companies only sell

products through their website and do not have a retail storefront. For example,
Amazon, TigerDirect, and Newegg conduct their business exclusively online. (Computer

Hope,2020)

In one of the Article Published by the international trade administration (2021), it

was stated that the pandemic of Covid19 has raised a demand for online shopping in the

Philippines. Online shopping also refers to other online activities, such as auctions. The

majority of people gain from online shopping in the sense that it allows us to avoid being

exposed to the Covid19 Virus by using it to purchase goods. Furthermore, because we

live in the age of modern technology, online shopping has the potential to have a

significant influence on all of us, allowing us to buy our everyday requirements and

necessities simply by surfing the internet. (Pjj Abeabe, Mmg Maro, R Ramos, 2022)

Most online shopping sites offer amazing round-the-year discounts. More than just

the discounts, one of the notable advantages of online shopping is the cash back you

gain over and alone them. Banks and digital wallets have happily jumped on the online

shopping bandwagon by providing reward points, and instant cashback offers in addition

to brand discounts. While offline shopping sees discount sales as well, these are far and

few and happen only once or twice a year. Another significant advantage of online

shopping is the freedom to shop without the influence or pressure from sales staff often

encountered in offline stores. Often, customers end up purchasing things at the spur of
the moment when influenced by competent sales staff at the stores, irrespective of

whether they needed the product. (Sashidhar Jagdishan,2020)

In 1994, several years after the launching of the world wide web, online transaction

systems, including banking and shopping, started emerging. The first shopping

transaction was completed through Netmask and the Internet shopping network in

1994, beginning the online shopping boom. Amazon com and eBay launched their

websites in 1995, offering online shopping options for customers. Many of the first

online shopping websites utilized internship online, an online shopping software system

developed in 1995 by internship communications AG. The internship online software

allowed businesses to more easily add online shopping capabilities, or e-commerce, on

their website, with secure transactions for their customers. (Ray Anindya,2022).

Teachers always have work to do even when they are at home they need to prepare

for what they will teach their students tomorrow because of that they don't have time to

travel to distant places to shop for what they need. Good thing now we have

technologies that can help make our work easier. Like online shopping, instead of going

to a faraway place to buy what you need, you can just look for it in online stores on the

internet. So online shopping is so useful for people, always busy like a teacher and you

can save on shipping because what you buy online will be delivered to you.
Statement of the problem

This Qualitative study aimed to explore the efficiency of online shopping of the San

Andres National High School teachers. Instigated how teachers' previous online shopping

experience influences, product financial and privacy risks associated with online

shopping. To know this study we need to interview San Andres National High School

teachers following this problem.

In San Andres National High School teachers have been identified as customers

shopping, this study is undertaken to identify of efficiency of online shopping toward the

teacher of SANHS.

1. Why do teacher love to shop in online stores?

2. Why do teachers prefer online shopping instead of physical stores?

3. does online shopping save moments and time?

Theoretical framework

Online shopping is basically a process of selling and buying of goods and services on

worldwide wed. As (forsy the and shi, 2003) explains "Internet shopping has become the

fastest growing use of the internet; most online consumer, however, use information

gathered online to make purchases off-line". According to a report (ACNielsen Report on

Global Attitudes Towards Online Shopping, 2005) one-tenth of the world's population is

shopping online, till October 2005, 627 million people have done shopping, and

according to the same report Germany and British are on the top of the list on online

shopping. As the above state confirms internet activity is growing fast. According to a

report on (ACNielsen Report on Global Consumer Attitudes towards online shopping,

2005) Shows on the list of 20 internet purchasing countries Sweden is number nine

following Japan and the USA.

Time is one of the most influencing factors of online browsing or searching an online

catalog can save time and patience. People can save time and can reduce effort by

shopping online. According to Rohm Swaminathan's (2004), one possible explanation is

that online shopping save time during the purchasing of goods and it can eliminate the

traveling time required to go to the traditional store. On the other side, some

respondents think that it is also time take for the delivery of goods or services over

online shopping. Morganosky and Cude (2000) have concluded that the time-saving

factor was reported to be the primary reason among those consumers who have already

experienced online grocery buying. So the importance of the time-saving factor cannot

be neglected as a motivation behind online purchasing. Additionally, Goldsmith and

Bridges (2000) emphasize that there is a discrimination between online shoppers and

non-online shoppers, online shoppers are more worried about convenience, time-saving

time, and section whereas non-online shoppers are worried about security, privacy, and

on-time delivery influence customer to shop online. Doing online shopping is good for
saving money because you will reduce the traveling cost. It will be good for you that you

can do the shopping online by sitting at your home.

There are many reasons why people prefer online shopping or going to physical

stores, but one of the most common is the convenience of buying things without having

to travel. Online shopping has come a long way since its inception in the 1970s. In fact ,

it has become so popular that 30% of all retail sales now happen online. With everything

from electronics and clothing t home goods and food , there's always a good change that

you can find exactly what you're looking for at an affordable price. Another reason

people prefer online shopping is because they have access to move products that they

could ever fit in their physical store. This means that can find anything they need from

furniture to toys with just one click or tap on the screen .( Naina kainth, 2021) .

According to the store zilla that doing online shopping is one of the best way to can get

creating deals. At offline stores you need to visit their platform and also get the chance

that you will not like anything in the physical store. On the online store you will get

different types of products at affordable price as compared to the offline store. In the

online platform you will get deals and buy the products at affordable price. Once you

start doing the online shopping , then you will see different prices as compared to the

office stores. That's why most of people prepared online shopping .

Conceptual framework

that relate to the subject under study. This chapter examines teachers efficiency in online

shopping. The reviews provided the researchers with a clearer picture of the nature of

internet shopping among teachers. The review of these journals and articles will also

demonstrate the relationship between the published paper and journals. These will

support the researchers claims in addition.

Nature of online shopping

There are eight billion internet users worldwide, and four billion of them are in Asia,

according to a statistical analysis about the worlds population and internet usage

(GITATION CE 13321).Various innovations have surfaced with an increase in users.People

are always being introduced to new and developed programs.Online shopping has also
evolved as a result of technical improvement and has become widely available to

consumers.

With an continued growth of internet use, consumers now view online shopping as

(WHENY KHRISTIATO,2012).

Three key advantages of online shopping

Convenience is a perk of internet purchasing that appeals to many consumers.

Despite the fact that some people might find it simpler to visit a nearby store than to

order something online and have it delivered, there are a few benefit to online shopping

that are just more practical. Many people's reluctance to shop online has been

diminished by quick and inexpensive online shopping choise. One of the kay factor

influencing people decision to shop online in fast shipment, which is occasional even

provide free of change. When compared to in-store purchases, is shopping online less

expensive? It's true in many instances! A year-long subscription service that offers

savings and free shipping on every item purchased is available on some online shopping

carts and platforms. (Damien Bradford, 20018)

When it comes to convenience, (k. Vaitheesewaran 2013) wrote,"with products

becoming more standardized, the obligation of the retailer after the sale is affected by

specification being fixed and the erosion of the service concept has significantly

decreased. Customers visit stores to examine products in person but they may also do so

online at lower cost. Because they don't have warehouses, e-commerce companies may

offer significant discounts.

Customer perception towards online shopping

The development of the internet has given businesses the chance to remain

competitive by giving clients a simple, quick, and affordable option to make transaction.

Research found that over 627 million people utilized the internet to buy books, tickets

for flights, apparel and shoes, film and games, and other electronic goods. The goal of

the factors affecting consumers to make online purchases. The finding of the factor

analysis shows that the primary elements influencing consumers' perceptions of making

an online purchase are product information, online payment, convenience and variety,

consumer attitude, easy accessibility, flexibility, price, consciousness, and challenges of

online shopping. (internal Singh, 2019).

Online shopping as perceived by the senior high school student.

Senior high school students who frequently used online retailers like Lazada and

Shoppee were the participants of the study. Due to its convenience, most people are

making purchases online. In contrast to traditional shopping, customers were not

required to make any physical effort to find the products they wanted to purchase.

Various benefits and drawbacks were discovered depending on the participants'

responses. Participants made purchases from online retailers of items including apparel,

accessories, stationery, etc. The majority of people who responded indicated that there

were drawbacks in terms of the product's quality and delivery time; nevertheless, some

participants gave good feedback. Online shopping provides advantages for consumers in

terms of purchasing various things. The majority of people are willing to suggest

shopping online. (Kristine propose, 2019).

Quality

Customer happiness in online commerce is positively impacted by the quality of the

goods and services offered. The definition of perceived product quality is the consumer's

assessment of the overall excellence or superiority of a product. According to keeney,

two key components of the success of e-commerce are to be viewed as product quality

and cost minimization. Patterson noted that the most potent factor influencing

satisfaction is perceived product performance. On the other hand, a number of studies

on internet commerce contend that consumer happiness is positively impacted by

service quality. Wheeler client's form enduring and devoted connections with internet

shops depends on the service level. Excellent service from online merchants exceeds

customers expectations, increasing customer happiness. Online retailers defined service

quality as the level of assistance. This is why offering high-quality services is crucial for

raising client happiness. (X. Guo, k. C Ling and M. Liu, 2012)

Understanding online consumer behaviors for a better customer journey.

Simple settlement, it's crucial to concentrate on all facets of the customer experience

when merchants are thinking about how to keep up with consumer expectations and

behaviors. Consumers look for convenience at every step of the purchasing convenience,

they search for e-commerce websites that offer simple-to-install payment gateway and

accept well-known payment options, such as "buy now, pay later". 89% of consumers

who are offered simple and flexible payment choices to buy bigger Ticket items. ( Megan

wenzl, 2021).

document. A the conclusion of this investigation, a suggestion has also been made to the

poprietors of online shops. (Jubayer Suhan, 2015)

The influence of online shopping

Online shopping offers customers more information, possibilities to compare items

and pricing, a wider variety of products, convenience, and the ability to quickly locate

desired products. Consumer happiness is directly impacted by and is sparked by the

supply chain link of shipping. Every procedure involves a crucial action called shipping,

notably online buying. Customer satisfaction is a need for the product delivery service.

It suggests that the customer will receive the purchase item, which quantity, quality, and

specifications are as per the order, as well as the scheduled delivery time and location.

The consumer feels that they have a right to obtain the concrete product in the allotted

period within the conditions that we're promised.( The delivery service is highlighted

in) . It is stressed in that the delivery service is the most important component in

meeting the needs and expectations of the consumer. Delivery goods in a quick, secure,

and dependable manners is the fundamental aim of online shoppers. Of customer are
unhappy with unreliable and delayed deliveries, they can quickly change websites with a

simple click. Therefore, it is crucial that the delivery fulfill the needs of the customer.( S.

Rudomsky- Klipppers, 2014)

Pricing and time

Because consumers always consider pricing when determining the value of a product

or service, professional literature considers pricing as an important aspect in customer

satisfaction. Price is what is given up or sacrified, in the eyes of the consumer , in order

to receive a good. One of the most important considerations in internet purchasing is

time saving. When people shop in physical stores or online, their primary resource is

time. Comparing online purchase to traditional shopping, browsing the online catalog

saves time and lessen stress. By making purchases online, customers avoid

transportation congestion, having to find parking, standing in line, and being a part of

the inside the stores.

Products commonly purchased online

. According to a study on Malaysia university students' online shopping habits,

participants said that technological items like computers and other electronic devices

were the most frequently bought items , followed by clothing an other beauty products.

Accordingly, it was discovered that the participants were motivated by a variety of

variables when making online purchases, with one of the influencing aspects being a

website's functionality or ability to give users a more simpler online shopping

experience. This demonstrates that people prefer internet purchasing since it is more

convenient and time - efficient. Additionally, a product's perceived value and quality

have a significant impact or motivating customers to purchase from a certain online

store.[CITATION Far18/ 13321].

Better Price with coupons / Discounts

Online shopping has many other benefits besides only offering a huge variety of

goods. However, they also provide a lesser cost that is the sole justification for online

shopping. There are numerous ways to compare pricing across various retailers.

Anything difficult for a reduced price, believe. To drow customers.

, e-retialer just cht their profit margin. They are aware of consumer vulnerabilities. On

occasion, online merchants will give greatest prices and discount on various products to

outsell rivals.( Vinary Prajapati, 2021)

Why Do People Shop Online

One of the reasons why people love to shop in online stores it is easy to find rare

products. The consumer can find a range of things in one location when they purchase

online. In addition , customers can order things from websites that's are not easily

accessible in local stores or even in their own nation and have them delivered right to

their doorsteps. It is the greatest option, particularly for someone with limited time who

needs to locate or visit a store. Because of the COVID 19 problem , in which we are
required to keep our distance from others and refrain from touching anything outside,

the importance of internet buying has increased resently.( JERICHO, NY,2021)

Understanding online shopping intention of generation Z in Serbia

Development in information and communication technology are impacting

consumer lifestyle. Online shopping save not only time but obviously money as the

consumer can shop from her home 24/7. Consumer today are online consumers, but the

generational gap means that consumers themselves need to be profiled and analyzed

2020 is considered the year of corona virus, so online shopping intent analysis is

especially important. Measure take to slow the pandemic include distancing, isolation,

and quarantine, making online shopping more convenient or the only viable option. The

theme of this work is the Z generation, which mainly follows the development of

information and communication technology.

Research Design

The researcher will use a qualitative methodology. According to ( Jenny S, Bramman

Jm, Bramman Go, 2022), that the qualitative research is a type of research that explores

and provides deeper insight into re-word problem instead of connecting numerical data

points or intervene or introduce treatment just like in quantitative research helps

generate hypotheses as well as further investigate and understand quantitative data. Is

can be helpful to look for the core meaning and element of the research participants

lived experiences.

Sampling Design

The research will use non-probability sampling specifically the referral sampling

wherein the respondents ask by the researcher to provide other qualified respondents

for the survey. This is a sampling technique, in which existing subjects (reffe) referrals to

recruit samples required for a research study because not all teachers at San Andres

National High School choose online shopping some prefer traditional shopping.

Research locale

This study will be conducted at San Andres National High Scho located at Baranggay

San Andres, San Andres is a barangay in the municipality of kadingilan, in the province of

Bukidnon. In the island of the Mindanao San Andres is situated roughly at 7.5408,

1240.8720. The clevation of at these coordinate is thought to be 278.2 meters or 912.7

feet above the mean sea level. It has a population of 2,361 determined by the 2020

census. San Andres National High School is one of the biggest secondary schools listed in
Kadingilan. The respondents will be the teachers of San Andres National High School.

Respondent of the Study

The respondents of thus study are the teacher in San Andres National Hing School,

the researchers will choose the respondents by reviewing there efficiency in terms on
shopping in online shop in order to the responses to be reliable and accurate since the

respondents will be equipped with knowledge on shopping in online stores.

Instrumentation and Validation

The researcher will utilize self-made questionnaire consisting of three parts the first

focuses will be. Why do teacher love to shop in online stores? Second part will focused

in why do teacher prefer online shopping instead of physical stores? While the last part

is how does online shopping save money and time?

Since the questionnaire was self-conclude it will be subjected to the face and content

validity. It will show to the teacher in practical I for her comments and suggestions. After

some modification, it was shown to the adviser to final approval and then distributed to

the respondents.

Data Gathering Procedure

Prior to determining the target participants , the researchers will do a detailed

analysis of the subject. A consent form and semi-structured interview guide will make up

the data collection tool, which will be created next. The research adviser must first give

the researchers permission before may start looking for volunteers and conducting the

online interview. The researchers will examine the data once they have collected an the

necessary information.
The researchers will use referral sampling wherein respondents are selected using non-

probability sampling because the researchers asks initial respondents to provide other

qualified respondent.

Depending on availability and willingness to engage, the participants will make choices.

The researchers will ensure that the individuals picked had a through comprehension of

the subject being to investigated and provide complete answers to all of the questions

(RESWELL, 2007 )

The researchers will make use of an interview guide as the research instrument. So, the

respondents of this study will be the teachers. The instrument will include questions that

are significant to the study. It will ask the respondents why do teacher love to shop in

online stores , why do teachers prefer line shopping instead of physical stones and how

does online shopping save money and time. The instrument will be divided into two

parts :a consent form and the interview guide.

The data gathered will be analyzed using the content analysis method. This method will

be useful in interpreting the efficiency of online shopping of San Andres National High

School Teachers. The data gathered will be summarized to gain the general idea based

on the teachers experience in online shopping.

Trustworthiness of the Study

The term "trustworthiness "in qualitative research to the standard, truth fullness is

importance ( Schmidt and Brown,2015). In order to ensure the credibility of this study,

which includes credibility, dependability, Confirmability, and transferability, the criteria

outlined by Lincoln and Guba (1985) will be used. Researchers should establish the

protocols and methods necessary for a study to be regarded as worthy of consideration

by reader in each study (Amankulga,2016).

Credibility or truth valve refers to the truthfulness of the research findings.

Researchers' confidence in their results depends on research method, participants, and

setting (Ary,2010). It is derived from the intended research goal, and a credible research

decision is one that is consistent with the researchers' goal and on which the researcher

or practitioner makes important and confident methodological decisions. (Patton, 2002).

Also, according to (Patton, 1999) cited by (Biado et Al. 2021), good research must meet

certain criteria. This includes studies that involve the use of rigorous procedures and

techniques that distinguish studies by collecting data of key data types. After collecting

data, it is important to conduct a through analysis, with particular attention to reliability,

validity, triangulation, and investigator reliability. In addition, innovative and thorough

data analysis must be performed. Due to the use of in-depth interviews as a data

collection method, this study employs repesurveysurvey and member validation to

ensure a reliable survey.

Additionally, repeated questioning involves the use of probes to collect detailed

data, as cited in (Wadembere, 2013). Researchers return to topics previously raised by

whistleblowers and extract relevant data through paraphrased questions. In both cases

where inequalities arise, falseshoods are exposed and researchers can choose to discard

questionable data. As part of this research, a repeat survey is performed using

exploratory questions for data collection. Follow-up questions will also be asked to

identify any additional issues that may affect the information provided and to ensure

that both Therese her archer and the participants understand each other. in , survey

questions are also used to ensure that the information collected is sufficient and

relevant.

In addition, membership audits are also used as part of this investigation. It's about

returning data, analytical taxonomies, interpretations, and insights to the members of

the group from which the data originated. Data are improved, especially as researchers

and participants view information from different angle (Korstjens and Moser, 2017).

Asking participant to review the transcript of the interview will improve the accuracy of

the data. It allows participants to reconstruct their own narratives by removing parts

that they feel do not represent their experiences or that are portrayed in a bad light (Birt

et al. 2016)

In this study, transcripts are presented to participants. To check the accuracy of the

transcripts, we have them read and analyzed. We also allow them to ask us to discard
part that they think are inappropriate or that they didn't say. We also let you know that

you can add any information you feel should be included in the transcripts. Reliability

refers to the consistency and reliability of research result and the extent to which

research procedures are documented in a way that does not allow anymore involved in

the research to follow, scrutinize, or criticize the research process (Moon et al., 2016). A

clear and concise description of the research from the iniation of a research project to

the develop and reporting of results. Records of research pathways are maintained

throughout the investigation ( korstjens and Moser,2017).

Analysis of Data

The researchers will collect all the data that will be acquired through interviews,

including in-depth interviews, before the data in this qualitative study will be reviewed.

To keep meticulous and comprehensive information, the collected data will be analyzed,

synthesized, and documented. After the official diets collection period has ended,

analysis will start.

All the information that be gathered in depth interviews including the responses

provided by a research participants, will recorded. Participants name will also be coded

as OS- 1O or online shopper(OS) in order to ensure confidentially of respondent. The

results will therefore be documented in accordance with the questions of the study. The

transcribing method will help the teachers acquire a full understanding of the material

gathered because it includes everything that was depicted on the transcript.

A thematic approach will be used to analyze the qualitative data. Thematic analysis

is a method for analyzing qualitative data that involves reading through a set of data and

looking for patterns in the meaning of the data to find themes. Data sets will be

patterned with themes that were important to the description of a phenomenon and

we're related to a research topic (Daly et al., 1997). In orders to do this, linked data

segments must be categorized or themed into groupings.

After a thorough study, statements that are pertinent to the topic will be broken
