    1 Changing Lives/ Peri-Farms Pre-requisite Program

    1. Land Preparation:

     Field must be ripped, disced, rotovated and beds made.


    2. Planting:
     Give area to be planted/ approved, so we can allocate seedling quantities, 23000 seedlings will be allocated
    per hectare.
     Spacing for seedlings 45cm and 60cm between rows

    3. Irrigation:

     You can use sprinkler system or drip irrigation; flood irrigation is also permitted to a certain extend.
    4. Fertilizer:
     Basal fertilizer 2:3:4 (350kg)/Ha or gypsum to be applied before planting, mix with soil.
     Three weeks after planting, top dress with 100kg/Ha LAN
     Six weeks after planting, top dress with 100kg/Ha LAN
     Nine weeks after planting, top dress with 100kg/Ha LAN
     Twelve weeks after planting, top dress with 100kg/Ha LAN
     After week 12, repeat the program for week 12 until the end of production.
    5. Foliar:
     Guano boost, Eckosil, Promveg or Foli Calcium can be used in between as a supplement to your fertigation.
    6. Pesticides: NB: ONLY REGISTERED CHEMICALS PERMITTED
    *Using Unregistered pesticides will result in product rejection which will affect your finances.
     Closer 240SC & Movento - recommended for white flies, aphids, thrips, red spider mite
     Apply at the first signs of infestation and repeat application at 7-10 days intervals. Apply a minimum
    of two consecutive Closer applications to ensure effective control of the pest.
     Dosage: 100L/25ML
     Withholding period: 1 day
     Bravo 720 & Benomyl – Botrytis leaf or grey mould, cercospora leaf spot, powdery mildew
