civic education is an education that studies about the rights and responsibilities of citizens of
a politically organized group of people. Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the
rightness and wrongness of human actions. In this regard, Ethics is the study of morality.
Whereas morality is defined as a set of personal and social values, rules, beliefs, laws,
emotions, and ideologies collectively governing and arbitrating the rightness and wrongness
of human actions. The major goal of civics and ethics is producing good citizens, citizens who
obey the law; respect the authority; contribute to society; love their country; believe in
doing what is right; stand up for the right of others; tries to serve the interest of others
before oneself. It is also aimed at creating a generation who has the capability to shoulder
family and national responsibility.
Both morality and ethics loosely have to do with distinguishing the difference between “good and
bad” or “right and wrong.” Many people think of morality as something that's personal and
normative, whereas ethics is the standards of “good and bad” distinguished by a certain community
or social setting.
Civics involves the study of citizenship and the rights and duties of individuals within a
community. It provides the framework for understanding the structures and functions of
government, as well as the responsibilities of citizens in participating in civic life. A well-
informed and actively engaged citizenry is essential for the health of a democratic society .

and societal contexts, influencing how individuals interact with one another and make
choices that impact the greater community.
Morality is concerned with the principles of right conduct and the distinction between good
and evil. It often encompasses cultural and religious values, shaping the moral compass of
individuals and societies. Morality provides a foundation for ethical standards and can
influence laws, customs, and social norms.
