1.0 OBJECTIVE
To lay down a procedure for receipt, issuance, cleaning and sanitization of QC
Bioanalytical Laboratory by using appropriate disinfection methods.
2.0 SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for the classified area of QC Bioanalytical Laboratory
Department at Laurus Bio Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.

5.0 DEFINITIONS
Disinfectant: A chemical or physical agent that destroys or removes vegetative forms
of microorganisms.
6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 Requirements
6.2 Disinfectants and fumigants,
6.3 10 ml micropipette
6.4 Mops
6.5 Buckets for disinfectants
6.6 RO water
6.7 Measuring cylinders
6.8 Lint free wipes
6.9 Autoclavable bags
6.10 Autoclave, Weighing Balance and pH meter
6.1.4 Dry the conductivity meter probe with lint free wipes.
6.1.5 Switch “ON” the conductivity meter by pressing the “ON/OFF” button.
6.1.6 Dip the probe into the sample solution.
6.1.7 The end of the sensor shall be completely immersed into the sample. Stir the probe
gently to create a homogenous sample.
6.1.8 Read the conductivity on the display in mS/cm or µS/cm.
6.1.9 Allow the reading to stabilize. Record the details in Annexure.
6.1.10 Remove the conductivity meter probe.
6.1.11 Switch “OFF” the conductivity meter by pressing the “ON/OFF” button.
6.1.12 Rinse the sensor with clean water and cover the sensor with the included cap after
use.
6.1.13 Clean the exterior surface of the Conductivity Meter with 70% IPA using lint free
cloth.
