Purpose
This document explains how to configure BIOS settings for COMMANDbatch
PCs that use the Advantech ARK-6322 RTC.
Audience
This guide should only be used by Command Alkon installation and service
personnel, or plant/management personnel specifically authorized to
configure COMMANDbatch.

BIOS Setup
The ARK-6322 is equipped with built-in AMI BIOS and a CMOS Setup Utility
that allows users to configure specific settings or activate certain system
features.
The CMOS Setup Utility saves the configuration in the CMOS RAM of the
motherboard. When the system power is turned off, the battery on the board
supplies the necessary power to preserve the CMOS RAM.
When the power is turned on, press the <Del> button during the BIOS
power-on self-test (POST) to access the CMOS Setup Utility screen.
NOTES:
• The storage media for this platform is an internal 16 GB SSD (Solid State
Drive).
• The RTC Operating System and programs can be installed via a bootable
USB thumb drive (see the Advantech ARK-6322 Software Installation
manual).
Initialization
1. Power up the ARK-6322 RTC and press <Delete> during the boot
process to enter the BIOS Setup utility.
2. From the Save and Exit menu tab, select “Restore Defaults” and press
<Enter>.
3. Select “Yes” on the Load Optimal Defaults dialog and press <Enter>.
The Advanced Settings Tab

1. Select “Miscellaneous Configuration” and set the OS Selection value to
“Android”. Press <Enter> then <Esc> to return to the previous screen.
2. Select “USB Configuration” and set the EHCI Hand-off entry to
“Enabled”. Press <Enter> then <Esc> to return to the previous screen.
The Chipset Tab

1. Select the South Bridge menu item USB Configuration menu then:
• Disable XCHI Mode.
• Enable USB 2.0 (EHCI) Support.
• Press <Esc> to return to the Chipset tab.
2. Select the Restore AC Power Loss menu item and press <Enter> then:
• Select “Last State”.
• Press (Esc> to return to the previous menu.

The Boot Tab
Set the Setup Prompt Timeout to 3 seconds. Press <Enter> then <Esc> to
return to the previous screen.
The Save and Exit Tab

Select “Save Changes and Exit” then press <Enter> then [y]es to save your
changes and reboot the device.
