Teenage Pregnancy Essays

Writing an essay on the subject of teenage pregnancy can present a challenging task due to the
multifaceted nature of the topic. This issue encompasses a wide range of social, economic, and
health-related aspects that require careful consideration and research. Tackling the complexities of
teenage pregnancy necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the causes, consequences, and
potential solutions.

Firstly, one must delve into the societal factors contributing to teenage pregnancy, such as education,
socioeconomic status, and cultural influences. Analyzing these aspects requires extensive research to
provide a well-rounded perspective on the subject. Additionally, the emotional and psychological
impacts on the teenagers involved and their families demand sensitivity and empathy in addressing
the human aspect of the issue.

Furthermore, exploring the consequences of teenage pregnancy involves examining the potential risks
to the health of both the young mothers and their infants. This requires an in-depth understanding of
medical and public health literature, adding another layer of complexity to the research process.

Constructing a well-organized and coherent essay also involves synthesizing diverse perspectives on
teenage pregnancy, considering the viewpoints of healthcare professionals, educators, policymakers,
and affected individuals. Balancing these perspectives while presenting a clear and compelling
argument can be a demanding task.

In conclusion, writing an essay on teenage pregnancy necessitates a multidimensional approach,

requiring extensive research, sensitivity, and the ability to navigate complex issues. However,
addressing this topic is crucial for raising awareness and fostering discussions that contribute to
positive social change.

Bailey And Burch Strategies
One of the strategies that was suggested by Bailey and Burch was to determine if a
task would only take two minutes, and if it did, then do the task right away rather than
letting it pile up. I tried my best to utilize the two minute strategy. I tried to use this
strategy when it came to answering emails and printing out materials that I needed to
use for class or at the practicum agency. The two minute strategy is great; however, I
do find that simple, easy, quick tasks take longer than I expect, Sometimes I think
replying to an email will only take two minutes and then I will spend 10 minutes or
more on it. I like this strategy however I think of it more as a 15 minute strategy because
that is a more realistic time frame for me. Another

Gears are one of the most critical components in mechanical power transmission
systems. Gear failures occur due to defect formation during manufacturing and service
stage of gear .Mostly failures during service stage of gear show major effect on the
component. Development in technology evaluated a new technique of inspection called
Non destructive testing technique to detect and characterize such defects and anomalies
in the component, and also ensuring pre service quality and monitoring in service
degradation to avoid pre mature failure of the component. In this paper sub surface
fatigue crack that occur most commonly during service stage, ultrasonic inspection for
finding sensitivity of crack in gears and its effects on life of gear during service stage is
discussed. Keywords sub surface fatigue crack; ultrasonic inspection; Sensitivity of
flaw;effects. I.INTRODUCTION The field of non destructive testing (NDT) is a very
broad, interdisciplinary field that plays a critical role in assuring that structural
components and systems perform their function in a reliable and cost effective manner
[4]. NDT techniques are used to locate and characterize material conditions and flaws that
cause major damages to the systems and components.
Beyonce Feminist Analysis
When Beyonce stood in front of a large LED screen that displayed FEMINIST at the
2014 VMA awards, like minded women everywhere cheered. There stood a celebrity
who did not shy away from the word that had become similar to a curse. Very few
women were willing to own up to the title of Feminist before Beyonce did. It is, perhaps,
a leftover sentiment from the raging second wave of feminism, the so called bra burners
who would protest Miss America Pageants. Today, Feminism attempts to speak for a
broader definition of women than in the past. In the midst of the second wave of
feminism, non white women were still trying to be heard in the feminist movement. In
the Combahee River Collective, Black Women state that, The only people who care
enough about us to work consistently for are liberation are us. Though truly it is difficult
to discuss the history that we are living today, Feminism has tried to embrace both queer
feminists and non white feminists, and also feminists who are unafraid to embrace their
femininity. Rio Grrl is particularly famous for publishing... Show more content on

Together, they uncovered shared injustices that, for the housewives, transcended from a
personal problems to political. For instance, once many women discovered that the
housework fell solely on their shoulders and even those whose claimed their husbands
helped out could identify the issue of women being assigned a task based on their
gender was an issue. Second Wave Feminists began to use Consciousness raising to
identify some of the issues they wanted to fight for, such as: reproductive rights, work
place equality, and domestic violence awareness and prevention. However, many of these
sessions revolved around the white middle class women, which guided feminists goals
towards benefitting only one
Gender Nonconformity
There is a few information in the reading that I found interesting and valuable to me
personally. I found the information on oppression related to sexual orientation and
gender nonconformity relevant to me personally. I have an uncle who was always
known as a homosexual; but today, he is part of a different type of the LGBTcommunity
(transgender). This week s reading helped me understand sexual diversity and further
identify the world in which he exists.

1) The issues surrounding LGBTs is appalling. Homosexuality was once label as a

specific mental illness. Engaging in a relationship with someone of the same gender was
considered deviant a sin, criminal behavior, uncleanliness and mental illness (Nelson
Prilleltensky, 2010). Labeling others for gender nonconformity is what started
discrimination, oppression, and marginalization. As a community psychologist,

Again, for years I grew up thinking homosexually is wrong. Therefore, did my beliefs
make me homophobic? I prefer being in a relationship with someone of the opposite
gender. When I went shopping with a friend whose sisters with a homosexual, she saw
me disgusted at the same sex couple making out. My friend immediate pointed out that
I was homophobic. But in actually, I am disgusted by the public display of affection,
but not the same sex, which I clearly pointed out. I learned that homophobia focuses on
individual level thoughts, actions, and behaviors of the homophobic person and does
not recognize the societal level oppression that LGB people face (Nelson Prilleltensky,
2010). I understand her frustration. Individuals who are homophobia or heterosexism
view a same sex public display of affection completely different to their counterparts. If
the scenario involved a man and a woman, it would be seen as completely normal.
Unfortunately, the world fails to lack diversity in the world of desire and love for a
Causes Of Poverty In America
When a person thinks of the term poverty it is easy to imagine a third world country
with hardly and food or water. It is easy to imagine the children we see on the television
reaching out for assistance. While it is almost impossible to imagine that poverty is right
here in America, there are many living in povertyright under our noses. Can you believe
that one of the healthiest countries has so many of its citizens living below the poverty
line? Poverty can affect people of all socioeconomic statuses. However, it has the most
detrimental and lasting effect on children. Think about how many kids are going to bed
hungry, or are teased for not being able to dress as well as the other kids. Think about
how many kids drop out of school, or suffer from health issues that are not treated in time.
Poverty in America is a serious issue because it affects children s development, health,
educational outcomes, and social mobility. Ways to improve these conditions are to
promote better healthcare, school systems, and upward mobility.
Social mobility is the movement of individuals, families, households, or other categories
of people within or between social strata in a society. B. Economic mobility, the ability to
move up or down the economic ladder during one s lifetime and across generations, is
central to the ideal of the American Dream (Fass et al., 2009). Poverty can affect a
child s ability to move upward on the social ladder. Children living in poverty have a

Van Der Poll s Do Hit Chair
In relation to the above question, I have selected Van Der Poll s Do Hit Chair (2000
present) as a contemporary work that manifests rebellion in the contemporary
landscape. Physically and visually, I am deprived of any realistic or actual
representation of the artwork, as I can only analyse the 2D, virtual image I have found
on the internet. However, Do Hit Chair heavily involves internet engagement, and this
is the exact experience the audience has themselves when purchasing the work. Thus,
I have chosen to analyse the web page on which Do Hit Chair is advertised.
Demonstrated in the Description part on the web page, the consumer becomes the co
designer by creating their own, edited version of the art work. This is further typified
by the online sharing options at the top right hand corner of the designers web page.
The internet is significant to the artworks interpretation, as the consumer/audience s
usage of the internet allows them to purchase the piece and enable them to publicise
and even resell their own creations. Accordingly, the artwork (or piece of furniture)
becomes a cycle of consumerism. The work ideally functions as a chair, which is
presumed by the title, however the artist is able to change/alter the object into whatever
they please. The spatial dimensions (100 x 70 x 75 cm) also indicate the objects
purpose as the size is generally similar to the standard sized chair dimensions.... Show

It satirically comments on consumerism and its relation to art , as the consumer is
paying 79300 euros to physically create the object themselves. This is influenced by the

13. Innovative advertisement for high awareness.

Segmentation
Segmentation is the division of the market into various homogenous groups. Basically,
Frito Lay products are generally marketed to the Hispanics prior to targeting the general
market. Frito Lay has Mexican roots which explain why the Hispanic market was the
initial market segment. The attractiveness of the market is evident on the strong needs
for snacks among all segments. Nevertheless, the focus of segmentation is on penetrating
the teen segment. As such, while the Hispanic population likes bold and spicy flavored
snack, there is high influence on kids in making snack purchase decisions, emerging Y
generation has purchase power and busy lifestyles demand food on the go.
Further, Frito Lay is a leader in the dip market but since there are many competitors in
the market the company decided to penetrate the vegetable dip segment. This is in
addition to chip dips segment particularly the shelf stable sour cream based dip and
other chip dips which are already in the mature stage of its lifecycle.
Targeting
Targeting is the identification of audience to which a product will be marketed. As
already noted, the Hispanic population is the initial target market but now also includes
the generations X and Y. Teenagers make up a considerable percentage in the marketing
activities of Frito Lay especially since they are very particular
