What I Learned in the Eighth Grade Essay
Throughout my academic life, I have learned many essential lessons from being
organized, to treating others with respect. However, my 2013 eighth grade school year
has taught me the most important lesson of all, team work. Team work is the ability to
get along with others, and it s the central piece of being respectful to your peers and
doing your part! As my eighth grade year began, my teachers have taught me that getting
along well with others is a splendid way to gain great success. They also mentioned, In
order to get to the top, you must know someone to lead you there! This memorable life
changing quote made me think about how important teamworkis because without the

This is a question I tend to wonder about when I m stuck in a situation, and it seems to
shift me in the right direction. Equally important, teamwork has taught me how to be a
successful leader. Through team work I learned that some people are leaders, and
others are followers, and that is okay! It taught me that I work well as a leader, and am
good at giving people tasks. Working with other people can be difficult, but I learned
how to overcome those obstacles and be a more exemplary person. Also I learned,
through school, that by leading a team, I am working and motivating my group. To
illustrate, a precocious girl is put with a group of her peers to finish a project. The girls
group was extremely unmotivated and did not want to work on the project. The girl took
it upon herself to give everyone an individual job, and inspired them to work. This is a
prime example to show how teamwork and work to create a successful leader. Lastly,
teamwork through sportsmanship has taught me to put in extra effort to get the results I
want. Elbert Hubbard once stated A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what
seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success. I ve learned that in order to have a
strong team, you need to put superfluous work. You cannot expect to get a maximum
amount of results with a minimum amount of endeavor. Working with a team of people
Conversion To Catholic Christianity
Conversion to Catholic Christianity was made by one of the first Frankish kings
Clovis in 496, and such conversion had a profound political influence on the future
development of the Carolingians. During the beginning of the Carolingian dynasty,
Pepin the Short, son of the Mayor of the Palace, was the one who had the real power,
but he was not satisfied. He looked for a powerful outside force, that is Roman Church
at this time, to approve his powerful position, since there was no more effective way
than religion to control the beliefs of people. With the help of PopeStephen, Pepin was
the selected king according to the custom of franks(39). He was holy anointed and
confirmed as king by Pope Stephen in 754, and thus inheriting from God
Rhetorical Analysis Of Ronald Reagan Made At The...
Throughout the speech that Ronald Reagan made at the Brandenburg Gate, you can
gain insight into what kind of a President and person he was. He showed tremendous
courage as he stood up against his advisors that begged him not to deliver this speech.
Despite the fear that the Soviets would retaliate, Reagan delivered his speech with
resilience and audacity. He is a reminder to many that they should stand up for what they
believe in. He alludes to the idea that the Soviets are taking the people s right to think for
themselves by forcing them to conform. Besides this, through division and unrest,
Ronald Reagansaw hope for a chance to unify a city in which so much destruction and
violence had happened. A key point in his speech is
Description Of A Business Entity That Ms. Growne
BACKGROUND: Sue Growne, client G14159, is looking to purchase a tavern, which
would include both realty and personality. So ReaLand CPA s could better serve this
client, I, Bobbi Paternico was tasked with researching the legal and tax options available
to the client, based upon the entity utilized for the purchase and the method of purchase.
ANALYSIS: The type of business entity that Ms. Growne selects can have both legal
and tax implications. Having said this, there are some tax and legal considerations to
examine regardless of the type of purchasing entity. Specifically, one of the first decisions
that Ms. Growne should make, is whether she wants to acquire the assets of the tavern or
the stock/interests in the business... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The statement of reserves should be reviewed, since the acquisition of the tavern,
through the purchase of the seller s interest, results in the buyer, Ms. Growne
accepting both known and unknown liabilities of the business prior to her ownership.
In addition, by reviewing the financial statements to look at the net operating gain or
loss, Ms. Growne can determine if there is a loss she can offset against her other
sources of income. For some individuals, the idea of being able to offset other income
with these losses incurred prior to ownership is appealing, due to the tax benefit that
may result. However, if the buyer does not have significate income to be offset or is
not in a higher tax brackets, this benefit of the acquisition through interest becomes less
attractive. In addition, if the sellers basis in the assets are significantly less than the
assets fair market value, the buyer is likely to incur greater gains on the assets in the
future, resulting in a higher taxable income and leading to negative tax implication. In
contrast, if the assets of the business were purchased, the buyer would not be susceptible
to prior liabilities and the seller must examine their basis for each asset, compare it with
the assets current market value, and incur any applicable gains or losses, intern shifting
the tax consequences of an increase in
