Satire In The Chasers Internet Degree
Satire is like water, not everyone in the world gets it. Satire is a style of comedy where
a serious issue is told in a light and funny way. Quite often, satire has its moral purpose
and is aiming to provoke changes to the society. This form of humour can be presented to
the audience in three different ways, including a video from The Chasers, image and a
written piece by unknown author. Satirebrings out an amused look at the human foible
which result in such way that they become absurd, even hilarious.

Internet Degree is a satirical video from the Australian television comedy series The
Chasers War on Everything. The Chasers` Chas applies for an online Medical degree
for his dog Sonny for only $450. The purpose of this video is to ridicule about the
internet university and how a dog can get a bachelor degree within seven days whilst
others spent years. In this video, satire is displayed through mimicking the online
university degree in an entertaining way. Elements of absurdity is also comprised in this
case, it gets sillier when Chas bought Dr Sonny to the hospital and interrupted the
palliative care from the cats. The audience is positioned to view the problem as a humour
and understand the message the author is trying to express. Therefore, satire has been
clearly demonstrated by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It succeeds as a social satire because the visual element of this work has conveyed the
corrupt reality. It is constructed to expose the idea that humanity is wasting more time on
social media ever since. Techniques of satire has been portrayed through the image, this
is by shaming the human vice in relation to internet and social media in a funny manner.
However, satire is frequently made to be shocking rather than making the audience
laugh. As a result, this reflective image of the society is essential to the world and it has

A Randomized Clinical Trial Experiment On Active Duty...
Patricia A. Resick et al. (May 4, 2015) conducted a randomized clinical trial experiment
on Active Duty Military personnel. By Group Cognitive Processing Therapy compared
with Group Present Centered Therapy for PTSD. To see if active military personal
improve stress symptoms with group therapy and if focus treatment is more effective on
the PCT. The results stated that the experiments had a large effect in the PTSD reducing
stress and in focus treatment (CPT PC) it had a higher/greater effect. This is important
because PTSD is a severe problem in the militaryforce in which this experiment got rid
of the stress that military people in Fort Hood were feeling like when active military
personal were returning from deployment in Iraq or Afghanistan.
In the experiment the participants were active military personnel who suffered from some
sort of stress which were chosen randomly for PTSD. In which the people chosen was
100 men and 8 women that were returning from deployment of Iraq and Afghanistan.
All candidates were active duty, activated reservists, or activated National Guard
members, age 18 or older, who spoke and read English. (Resick et al. May 4, 2015 pg.3)
This study was approved by institutional boards that are mostly health science centers. In
which the participants signed a contract on the experiment and did an assessment about
what they were going to accomplish. Also, they needed to be in captivated in the group
therapy for the stress studies. However, inclusion
Advantage And Disadvantage Of Composite Materials
Composite materials (also called composition materials or shortened to composites) are
materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different
physical or chemical properties, that when combined, produce a material with
characteristics different from the individual components. The individual components
remain separate and distinct within the finished structure. The new material may be
preferred for many reasons: common examples include materials which are stronger,
lighter or less expensive when compared to traditional materials. In the last decades, the
use of natural fibers as reinforcement in polymeric composites for technical application
has been a research subject of scientist. Interest in natural fibers has increased worldwide
due to their low cost, low density, hardness, higher fatigue endurance, good thermal and
mechanical resistivity and to their environmental friendliness. The Asian markets have

Brown fibres are thick, strong and have high abrasion resistance. White fibres are
smoother and finer, but also weaker. Coconut fibres are commercial available in three
forms, namely bristle (long fibres), mattress (relatively short) and decorticated (mixed
fibres). These different types of fibres have different uses depending upon the
requirement. In engineering, brown fibres are mostly used. There are many general
advantages of coconut fibres e.g. they are moth proof, resistant to fungi and rot, provide
excellent insulation against temperature and sound, not easily combustible, flame
retardant, unaffected by moisture and dampness, tough and durable, resilient, springs
back to shape even after constant use, totally static free and easy to clean. There is a
huge difference in some properties, e.g. diameter of coconut fibres is approximately same
and magnitudes of tensile strength are quite

A Sociological Study of Deviance: Oklahoma City Bombing

The Oklahoma City Bombing was a very special event in American history, it was the
biggest act of domestic terrorism until 9/11. The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building,
which was an office complex in Oklahoma City, was bombed and 168 people were killed.
Timothy McVeigh, the subject of my paper, was behind the bombings, and later executed.

On April 15, 1995 Timothy McVeigh rented a Ryder truck in Herington, Kansas under
the alias Robert D. Kling. On April 16, he drove to Oklahoma City with fellow
conspirator Terry Nichols where he parked a getaway vehicle several blocks away from
the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. After ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He wanted to get vengeance for the FBI/ATF s firebombing of a ranch in Waco, Texas,
that killed 79 civilians.

WHY DID TIMOTHY MCVEIGH DO THIS?

Timothy Mcveigh s personality can be explained sociologically as being both

ritualism and rebellion. Timothy McVeigh was part of what can be seen as the
pinnacle of conformism during the years before the bombing, the military. McVeigh,
by all accounts, was a soldier who won praise by taking orders very well and following
all the rules, his medals won during the Gulf War prove this. However, like many other
people who join the military (gang members, racial nationalists, survivalists) Timothy
McVeigh had perhaps not so patriotic motives for joining. Nowadays people join the
military for reasons other than because they believe in a countries value system, people
like McVeigh join for the military training and knowledge of things like explosives,
survival, discipline, etc. They in a way use the system against itself. At face value
Timothy McVeigh did follow the means towards achieving societies goals, but he wanted
nothing to do with the ends. He saw himself as a freedom fighter whose destiny was to
overthrow the US Government.

McVeigh, before joining the military, already had a long history in the survivalist
movement. The Survivalist movement is well known by the federal government for its
anti government activities and beliefs, McVeigh shared these beliefs and was set off after
