Immigration Laws And Immigration Policies In The United...
Imagine for a minute the fear of losing everything that you have worked so hard to earn,
think of yourself waking up every day with the fear of everything being taken away from
you after all of your hard work and effort you have put in. That is the constant fear that
thousands of immigrants go through every day. It hurts to know that the Republican
Party believes in immigrationlaws and immigration reforms that address the needs of
national security. The party has always been divided on to exactly what extent
immigration laws should be tightened, but as a whole the party believes this system
needs to be in place to ensure that immigrants who enter this country illegally are not
provided with the same benefits that legal citizens are. They believe in warmly
welcoming those who enter the country through legal methods. The party believes that
amnesty towards those who have broken immigration laws only encourage future
immigrant to enter the country illegally rather than legally. More people have died
crossing the border from Mexico to the US in the first seven months of 2017 compared
to the year before, even though significantly fewer people seem to be attempting the
journey, according to the United Nations migration agency. The number of
immigrants deaths tailed at the border jumped 17% from 204 in the first seven months
of 2016 to 232 immigrant s fatalities in 2017. The report does not identify what could
be causing the change, but historically, stricter immigration policies in the US have
driven people to take more dangerous routes. This is partially because these policies
don t mitigate the factors the drive people to leave, such as the threat of gang violence,
crime and lack of economic opportunity. One of the reasons why my parents decided to
come to the United States was so that I and my three siblings could have a better
future. Also so we could have more education than my parents had to have a better
chance in life and better job opportunities. I admire my parents so much because I have
witness every single struggle they have been through trying to give us the best and also
because they are humble and strong as a family. That s one of the reasons why I decided
to go to college is because I strive to
Frederick Douglass Sacrificial Essay
The Fundamentals of a Leader Fate is as man made as I Phones. None of us are born
winners; neither are we born losers. Rather, all of us are born equals and what we do
as we grow distinguishes us from others. Furthermore, our actions help us achieve
personal power. That is why Frederick Douglass succeeded in doing something that
other slaves did not not even bother trying. In spite of being born a slave, Douglass is
able to break free of the shackles of slavery and become a winner and a successful
leader by being sacrificial, perseverant and compassionate. An empowered individual,
Frederick Douglass is sacrificial, willing to risk his life just so that slavery could be
abolished. After discovering that the whites fear the slaves getting... Show more content

Most slaves in the autobiography, The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass,
lack this quality. However, Douglass does not and this is evident especially in the
scene where he finally has the chance to escape. A person, imprisoned for his whole
life, would take the opportunity of liberating himself without any hesitation.
Nevertheless, with liberation finally within grasp, the thought of being separated from
[his fellow slaves] struck Doglass so [painfully] beyond expression that he had second
doubts (Douglass 85). Even though he actually did choose to escape, the fact that he
actually cared to consider the lives of others separates him from most of the other
slaves. Most individuals don t undergo the transformation from I to We (Tan). Simply
said, they can t be compassionate. Unless they are willing to take others into
consideration, their efforts [will be] limited to [their] vision and the goal will never be
reached (Tan). That is why the lives of others always factors into Douglass decision
making. Hence, compassion is one of the traits that sets Douglass apart from other
individuals, which ultimately thrusts him towards success and personal

Hurricane Katrina is often times referred to as the worst natural disaster in United States
history. Thousands of people lost everything they had and were stranded for days. There
is an ongoing debate whether the government did enough for the people affected, or if
they were too slow to take action? Hurricane Katrina was not only a natural disaster, but
a political one as well. Yes, houses, cars, and families were destroyed but due to a failure
of communication and cooperation in our government, unnecessary damage was done.
After watching the video, The Storm, it seems that one specific agency was responsible

Speech on God vs. Science
God vs. Science: 1 INTRODUCTION TO TOPIC: Good morning everyone present
here, before I start speaking, I would like to share a simple dilemma that I have in my
mind. This confusion is common, may it be any field in life. So, being a soldier of
my country I would quote in our context only. Question is in the battle field when a
soldier, a pilot in a jet plane, when face the enemy, what does he thinks will be there
with him to save him GOD OR THE WEAPON he has with him. As you all must have
got a hint of what is going to be the topic on which I am going to speak today. The
greatest debate, the mother of discussions, which is superior GOD or SCIENCE. The
soldier in the battle field would rely on the weapon in his hands, which is a piece of...

Despite of quarrelling and contradicting each other people must concentrate on their
life and duties towards their country and family. Doesn t matter what you believe if
you are doing the required , having a pious heart and clean intentions both god and
science will be your tools for excelling in your life. One may take the domains as
support or the fear of god and the love of the technology that makes him/her do the
correct thing. So personally my suggestion to every one debating over the god vs.
Science , leave the discussion and start trying to reason out the differences they share
and ultimately respect each other. As they say SCIENCE IS GOD FOR THE
SCIENTISTS , so may it be god or science they exist , and rather glorify each others
existence. Me personally , i m a believer in the all mighty god. But also i am a logical
person that accepts the innovations and the arguments that science puts forward. Finally
i would like to end the day with this great quote by a great person ALBERT EINSTIEN
he said Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind. Thank

Revenue and Shelf Space Essay
Allstar Brands Allround product is a 4 hour multi symptom, over the counter, liquid
medicine used to treat colds, coughs, and allergies. Allround is typically used at night
because of the strength of the medication and because the alcohol and antihistamine
helps consumers rest. When LSD J took over as Brand Managers, our strategy was
two fold; grow the top and grow the bottom of the company. Our goal was to make the
company strong and stable to ensure Allstar remains one of the top brands of medicine
for years to come. Our strategy to grow the bottom was to focus on keeping our gross
profit marginstable by minimizing operating cost, manufacturing cost and fixed cost. Our
strategy to grow the top was to increase sales and net income.... Show more content on

The demographics were selected based on decision criteria. We focused on the groups
seeking product effectiveness and who were not as concerned with side effects and price.
We raised the price of Allround by 4%, slightly above inflation, to a price of $5.50 and
left the volume discounts the same. Allstar decided not to hire additional sales people but
to reallocate their current resources from the marketing data available. LSD J took the
advise from our predecessors on channel choices, Retailers considered four basic factors
regarding shelf space allocation: product turnover (number of units sold in a given
period of time), promotional allowances, sales force support, and co op advertising
allowances. In general, large grocery stores, mass merchandisers, and chain drugstores
were more apt to focus on turnover and allowances, whereas independent drugstores paid
greater attention to sales force support. (The PharmaSim Case, p 15) In addition, mass
merchandiser sales showed the greatest growth so the following decisions were made.
