She feels that women are the best group to target because they don t like the mess or the
risks created by traditional mouse traps. This is a good marketing segment to start off
with but there are couples of things that Martha could have improved on.
First of she should have probably segmented women into a couple of different groups.
In today s world all the women don t stay at home and take care of kids. In fact the
population of these women is rapidly shrinking. So, we can say that Martha has
targeted a shrinking market which is a big mistake. Even Martha herself is a working
women and she has overlooked herself also. Here she could have probably segmented

In the Scarlett Ibis written by James Hurst, he sets a gloomy throughout the beginning of
the story drawing readers in, forcing them wonder the unfortunate events that were yet to
happen in the narrative. These loving brothers only want the optimum for one another
which results in one of the main characters, Brother, urging his ailing brother, Doodle, to
the point of death, which is a clear example of the theme James Hursthad demonstrated
throughout the Scarlett Ibis . Although Brother only intended to encourage Doodle and
make him feel accepted, it revealed how when you lovesomeone so much, you end up
maiming them the greatest. During the story, Brother, although caring deeply about
Doodle, continued to generate selfish decisions based off of his personal reputation
ignoring the severity of Doodle s condition.
Brother s selfishness has driven his brother to death, an extremity that was not desired
from either Doodle or Brother. With only few days left until school starts, Brother
realizes this extravagant wish for Doodle to run, swim, climb trees, and fight is
unfeasible and starts to drift into the thought of why he is pushing this goal so much.
He realizes the truth, it was because of his selfishness. I should have already admitted to
