2 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Classification of the substance or mixture
The product has been classified and labelled as hazardous according to regulation (EU) 1272/2008 (CLP).
Aspiration Hazard Category 1 H304: May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
Environmental Hazards
Chronic hazards to the aquatic Category 3 H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
environment
Hazard summary
Physical Hazards: Can form flammable vapour-air mixtures during the application.
Skin Contact: At long or repeated contact with skin it may cause dermatitis due to the
degreasing effect of the solvent.
Ingestion: If ingested, material may be aspirated into the lungs and cause
chemical pneumonitis. Treat appropriately.

Labelling (REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008)
Hazard pictograms:
Precautionary Statement
Prevention: P262: Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
P273: Avoid release to the environment.
Other hazards: By handling of mineral oil products and chemical products no particular hazard is known
when normal precautions (item 7) and personal protective equipment (item 8) are kept.
The product may not be released into the environment without control.
3 COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
Mixtures
General information: Mixture based on severely refined mineral base oils with corrosion preventive
agents and volatile hydrocarbons.
*All concentrations are percent by weight unless ingredient is a gas. Gas concentrations are in percent by volume.
PBT: persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substance.
vPvB: very persistent and very bioaccumulative substance.

For the wording of the listed risk phrases refer to section 16.
4 FIRST-AID MEASURES
Eye contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If easy to do,
remove contact lenses. Get medical attention.
Skin contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Get medical attention. Wash with water and soap; pay attention: skin
degreasing product.
Ingestion: Call a physician or poison control centre immediately. Rinse mouth. Never give
liquid to an unconscious person. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that
stomach content doesn't get into the lungs.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed, if necessary
High pressure injection injuries require prompt surgical intervention and possibly
steroid therapy, to minimise tissue damage and loss of function.
Because entry wounds are small and do not reflect the seriousness of the
underlying damage, surgical exploration to determine the extent of involvement
may be necessary. Local anaesthetics or hot soaks should be avoided because
they can contribute to swelling, vasospasm and ischaemia. Prompt surgical
decompression, debridement and evacuation of foreign material should be
performed under general anaesthetics, and wide exploration is essential.
5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
General Fire Hazards: Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool.
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, fire extinguishing powder or fog like water spraying. Extinguish larger fires with
alcohol resistant foam or spray water with suitable surfactant added.
Specific extinguishing methods: Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Dispose of fire
debris and contaminated firefighting water in accordance with official
regulations. Collect contaminated firefighting water separately. It must not enter
drains.
Environmental precautions
General Information: Avoid release to the environment. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to
do so. Prevent from spreading (e.g. by binding or oil barriers). Environmental
manager must be informed of all major spillages. Do not allow to enter drainage
system, surface or ground water.
Reference to other sections: See Section 8 of the SDS for Personal Protective Equipment. See Section 7 for
information on safe handling See Section 13 for information on disposal.
Dike for later disposal. Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements or
confined areas. Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk.
Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink
or smoke when working with the product. Take usual precautions when handling
mineral oil products or chemical products. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
Risk of vapour concentration on the floor and in low-lying areas. Prevent
formation of aerosols. Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Provide
adequate ventilation.
Technical measures/Storage
conditions: Store locked up. Local regulations concerning handling and storage of water
polluting products have to be followed. The precautions for storing and handling
of flammable liquids have to be kept. Local regulations for common storage of
flammable liquids have to be followed. Do not heat up to temperatures close to
the flash point..
Protective Equipment:
Engineering measures Provide adequate ventilation. Ventilation rates should be matched to conditions.
If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other
engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure
limits. If exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to
an acceptable level.
Eye/Face Protection Safety glasses (EN 166) recommended during refilling. Avoid contact with eyes.
Skin and body protection Wear suitable protective clothing. Protective shoes or boots. Long sleeved
clothing.
Other: Do not carry cleaning cloths impregnated with the product in trouser pockets.
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Respiratory protection Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Avoid breathing vapour/
aerosol.
Hygiene measures Always observe good personal hygiene measures, such as washing after
handling the material and before eating, drinking, and/or smoking. Routinely
wash work clothing to remove contaminants. Discard contaminated footwear
that cannot be cleaned.
