Installing Oracle 10g Devsuite and Report Server Setup
1) Install Oracle Developer Suite 10g. Run as system administrator and run using compatibility mode
Windows XP Service Pack 3
2) Configure Reports server based on computer name. Report Server link will be
<Computer Name>:8889 ex. rgradaza:8889 and server = bvcrsvr
Pre-requisite: Backup rwnetwork.conf and rwservlet.properties files to a backup folder
3) From installer Files Required folder,
a) Copy file bvcsvr.conf to C:\DevSuiteHome_1\reports\conf folder
b) Copy file rwnetwork.conf to C:\DevSuiteHome_1\reports\conf folder. Open the file
with notepad and change rgradaza to <Computer Name>
c) Copy file rwsevlet.properties to C:\DevSuiteHome_1\reports\conf folder. Open the file
with notepad and change rgradaza to <Computer Name>. Retain the port no.
d) Copy file tnsnames.ora to C:\DevSuiteHome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN
e) Copy shortcut Start Oracle Report Server.bat to Desktop
4) Create Desktop shortcut for Start OC4J Instance with target
C:\DevSuiteHome_1\j2ee\DevSuite\startinst.bat or copy shortcut from Files Required folder
5) Create Desktop shortcut for Shutdown OC4J instance with target
C:\DevSuiteHome_1\j2ee\DevSuite\stopinst.bat or copy shortcut from Files Required folder
6) Copy folder OracleApps10g folder (contains report modules) to local c:\ folder

Configure SMS Reports in Internet Explorer
Pre-requisite: Started Oracle Report Server (run Start Oracle Report Server.bat) and OC4J (run Start OC4J
instance.lnk)
a) To check if the reports server is working, run the link
http://<Computer_Name>:8889/reports/rwservlet/showenv=bvcrsvr
if ok, create a bookmark with title – Reports Server Details
b) To check the report jobs, run the link
http://rgradaza:8889/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?
If working ok, create a bookmark with title – Report Jobs
