4. CALCULATION
4.1 NPSH and Suction Pressure Calculation
A. Head loss by pipe friction
Flowrate F = 0.0061 m3/s
Fluid velocity in pipe v = 1.98 m/s
Fluid Reynold number NRe = 43,326
Reynold criteria = Turbulence
Now friction factor are approximate by modified Colebrook formula that given by S.E.
Haaland (1983) :
1/√𝑓 = -1.8log (6.9/𝑁_𝑅𝑒 +
(𝜀/(3.7 𝐼𝐷))^1.11 )
Head loss due to pipe friction are calculate using d'Arcy formula:
ℎ_𝑓 =
(4𝑓𝐿
𝑣^2)/2𝑔𝐼𝐷
Head loss due to pipe friction hf 0.6 m
Tittle : Sizing Calculation for Triethylene Glycol Transfer Pump Revision No. 0
Head loss by fitting are calculate by following formula :
ℎ_𝑐 = (𝑓
𝑣^2)/2𝑔
(𝐿/𝐷)
Now friction factor are approximate by modified Colebrook formula that given by S.E.
