WHEREAS the employer and the employee have entered into an agreement of employment for
the employee to undertake the duties as a teacher and perform her duties as they are outlined in
the JOB description attached hereto.
2. REMUNERATION CLAUSE
The employee will be remunerated a month monthly allowance of USD$300.00 (three hundred
United States dollars only) at the end of each and every month. In the event that there any
changes to the remuneration structure, it shall be communicated in writing between the parties to
the contract. Any communication that is not written and assented by both parties will not be
meant to be permanent even if persist for an extended period.
Working hours of the teacher will be stretched from 08:00hrs to 1700hrs and there will be leave
for time alteration depending on the activities of the day. Time may vary, and also dates may be
varied. Working days will be from Monday to Friday and holidays will be respected. A teacher
maybe required to be perform extra duties and hours respectively.
5. TERMINATION
Absconding duty, being drunk on duty, use of any substance that may inhibit performance of the
teacher and insubordination calls for immediate discharge from duty without any payment. In the
event that the teacher want to terminate the employment contract with the employer have to
communicate that in writing at least one month before termination. Immediate termination will
not be paid for by the employer and the employee will forfeit her right of being given any
contractual opportunity by the employer. The employer can terminate the contract of the
employee any time for any reasons, and this must he communicated in writing. In the event that
the termination is by mutual agreement no benefits will accrue from the employer. The
termination of the contract means the termination of any benefits that were due to employee
because of this contract effectively immediately.
The teacher should agree to keep confidential any information about the school, students, or
other staff members.
7. Intellectual property
Any intellectual property created by the teacher during their employment, such as lesson plans
or teaching materials, is owned by the school.
8. Code of conduct
The teacher should agree to abide by the school's code of conduct, including professional
standards and ethical behavior. The model code of conduct of the MINISTRY OF PRIMARY
AND SECONDARY EDUCATION IS APPLICABLE.
9. Professional development
The teacher's obligation to participate in professional development activities, such as workshops
or training sessions, is mandatory and will be on the direction of the employer.
The contract will be governed by the contract laws of Zimbabwe and it will fall within the
jurisdiction of the labour court of Zimbabwe.
11. This contract is the full and final agreement between the parties, any documents that alters
this contract should be signed by both parties to be effective.
