    ABOUT EB-3 PROGRAM:

    Third preference category visa, popularly known as Employment Based (EB-3) is specifically
    for unskilled workers. Through this route, a foreign worker can obtain a green card.

    The worker must first secure a full-time job offer from an employer based in the U.S. Once the job
    offer is issued, the file goes for the PERM (Program Electronic Review Management)
    department certification and awaits approval for the minimum wage of the employee. This is
    also to ensure that employer failed to find anyother employee, and hence, a foreign worker was
    required to fulfil the position. As soon as an approval from PERM is received, it moves to U.S
    immigration department for necessary approvals to take place, after which it goes to the
    local embassy. A medical test and interview where the applicant explains his motive
    behind moving to U.S. for employment, and his ability to perform all his job responsibilities are
    the final steps for the process, following which a visa will be issued.
