In recent years, there have been very significant developments in the structure, organization,
and operation of logistics, notably in the interpretation of logistics within the broader supply
chain. Major changes have included the increase in customer service expectations, the
integration of organizational structures, and the like.
Despite these changes, there are key issues and challenges for logistics and supply chain
operations. Enumerate and explain some of these changes that are affecting logistics in the
modern era and how these challenges can be used to the benefit of the organization.
This is true! Let's consider an example in the context of e-commerce. Companies like Amazon have been
celebrating the delivery industry in recent years. Traditionally, logistics consisted of moving products
from the warehouse to the customer. However, with the growth of e-commerce, logistics now includes
a more comprehensive approach.

For example, Amazon has used advanced technologies such as robots in its warehouses to ensure orders
are fulfilled. The organization has also improved the quality of transportation and introduced drone
delivery in some regions to improve final transportation. Additionally, the integration of statistical data
leads to better demand forecasting and inventory management, reducing delays and optimizing the entire
