Some people say that online learning is the most effective and convenient way to learn.
Others
say that online learning will never be as effective as learning at a real school, in person. Discuss
both views and give your own opinion.
People learn in many ways. Nowadays, many individuals are concerned on whether to enroll in an
online school or in a real school where actual teachers are available. Both of these ways have certain
advantages and disadvantages. These ways of learning will be analyzed in this essay.
First, the advantages of online school are its accessibility and flexibility. Young individuals nowadays,
prefer to learn online because it allows them to travel and at the same time be able to comply with the
requirements of their studies by using internet. In addition, individuals can repeat lectures anytime and
anywhere until they completely understand the subject. Furthermore, students can have jobs while
doing online classes due to the flexibility of study schedules. With this, they are hitting two birds with
one stone. For instance, my friend who is a registered nurse, used to be a cashier at a local gasoline
station while she did an online class. She finished her course with flying colors. Conversely, people may
live sedentarily which can create problems later. Also, when the server is down, there will be no access
with the course and will waste more time. Even so, for some people, it can still be the convenient way
to learn.
Meanwhile, in the real school, students can have access with teachers right there and then. To
illustrate, professors can explain and share their personal experiences when students find the subject
hard to understand. Furthermore, social interaction plays an essential role in everyone’s lives. People
need contact in order to share ideas, opinions and suggestions to help them grow happier and live
longer. In contrast, some teachers become irritated when students cannot cope up with the subject
because they generalize the learners’ learning capacity making the less intellectual one behind from
class. Despite of it, older generations prefer real schooling as this had already been experienced to be
successful.
In summary, learning online is indeed great. Though, it has not yet been fully tested and proven. In my
opinion, Individual can learn far better by attending classes in a real school. However, if accessibility
and flexibility will be an issue, probably the best choice is to take online course.
Whether or not online learning is more effective and convenient than learning at a real school has
been considered as a hotly debated issue. There are those who argue that online learning is the best
option for busy people and it is considered as the most appropriate for those. Some others do not
completely with this viewpoint. In this essay, these two viewpoints would be discussed and my point of
view would be also presented.
With regard to those who argue that online learning is one of the best options and the most effective
courses. In modern society, people are under severe pressure of time, it is hard for them to spend the
whole time of learning at school. Furthermore, online courses also have seminars for learners to
discuss the topics of the lesson. More importantly, all materials are uploaded on the website of school
to prepare better for the new lesson and the students have enough time to read and to discuss with
other students. Therefore, the quality of learning online has been accepted in many countries around
the world.
However, other people believe that learning at a real school has been regarded as an effective way. It
is absolutely essential to learn at real school because students have a stronger motivation and this can
make a huge contribution to the quality of learning. What is more, it is interesting for students to have
face to face discussion to have a better understanding about lesson via seminars at classrooms.
Students would do better their researches thanks to a variety of valuable materials in the library.
Therefore, it is necessary to encourage student to register to learn at a real school instead of online
courses.
From my perspective, online learning is a useful course for students. It may be true that this type of
course is quite flexible and time-saving for people who both study and work. Obviously, it is difficult
for employees if they are required to attend at classroom during administrative time to study at
classroom. Furthermore, greater determination does not depend on whether or not attending at
classroom; it depends on how learners make their effort to achieve their targets to be set. With the
development of cutting-edge technology, learners do not deal with any problems of learning, such as
the Internet allows students to approach E-books and other important materials online. In other words,
online learning should be regarded as effective as learning at real school.
It seems to me that learning online should be appreciated in modern society. This method of learning
may be one of the best options for learners being busy with their job. What government to do is to
make a stronger encouragement to develop much more this type of learning in the educational
system.
Nowadays, in this day and age, everyone tends to learn online. However, some people believe that
studying at school will be more effective, helping students absorb more knowledge. With the above
views, in my opinion, studying directly at school is the best. First, learning directly at school helps
teachers closely manage students. Students must be present and follow school and classroom rules. If
students learn online, teachers will not be able to capture the sense of learning to assess behavior.
Second, face-to-face learning can help students interact more easily in learning. Students can
exchange with each other and share knowledge without disturbing others. Moreover, meeting and
talking helps students get on well with each other. Third, studying at school helps us to recognize our
strengths and weaknesses through the mistakes that teachers directly point out. At the school, the test
will be closely monitored, helping students have a more accurate and substantive test result than the
online test. In addition, going to school is also an activity that helps to move the body. If we just stay at
home in one place, the body will be weak and not as flexible as before. In short, learning at school is
very important. It has helped students develop comprehensively physical and mental, knowledge is
closely supplemented, students can flexibly access information more accurately.
