INT3 | Extra resources for students

Book: Interchange 2, 5th Edition -- units 11 to 16

You can buy the student book and workbook at the ALC Bookstore.

Grading:
■ Attendance & Participation (20%) - be on time with your books!
○ If you miss a class, it’s ok -- just make sure you cover the
material yourself. You are responsible for your own learning,
turning in writing, and taking quizzes, even if you miss a class.
■ Speaking (10%) - this is your teacher’s assessment of your ability to
speak using grammar and vocabulary correctly.
■ Quizzes (10%) - there will be 2-3; if you’re absent for one, it’s not a problem
■ Writing (10%) - there will be 2 writings
■ Final exam (50%) - this will test listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing skills.
■ You need 65% overall to move to Intermediate 4

Expectations:
■ You are responsible for your own learning. These resources support face-to-face
instruction. Talk to your teacher if you have questions or problems.
■ Have your textbook, workbook, a notebook, and pen or pencil ready before class
■ Be active in class
■ SPEAK ENGLISH! We have a beautiful opportunity to practice English-only for 3 hours a
week. Everyone has paid to speak and listen to English. Don’t waste your money (or your
classmates’) by using French or Darija during class time.
■ If you have questions or problems, contact your teacher directly right away. If your teacher
cannot help, call ALC administration: 0663515758, 0669858798.

Self-study: If there is a topic you don’t understand well, try using these extra
resources. The more time you spend practicing English, the more you will learn!
