Alright,This is Waleed. I am 28. I graduated in the faculty of engineering from Arab Academy for
Science and Technology in 2014 and love working with people who are passionate about the
same things . My favorite part of my job is building relationships with colleagues because I know
how important it is for the work environment to accomplish work effectively and efficiently
through team work.
What do you know about our company?

The Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) is strategically located at the mouth of the Suez
Canal – offering zero deviation from one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world – and
creating unique access to key markets in the East, West and Centre Mediterranean, Egypt as
well as Levant, Black Sea and Adriatic Sea.
SCCT's vision is to become the largest hub in the Mediterranean and the leading Gateway of
Egypt.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Related to my strengths points
I am very collaborative. I’ve always enjoyed working on teams
I am a solutions-oriented person and a quick learner
Related to my weakness points
I can be quite critical of myself, which can lead to negative self-talk and eventual burnout. I've
found that I can avoid this by recording my goals, objectives,
I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I sometimes struggle to delegate tasks to my teammates.It was
hard at first, but I've overcome that by communicating clear expectations and trusting my team
helps us to accomplish projects more efficiently.
What is your experience with the preparation of engineering drawings and

specifications?
I have a strong background in producing comprehensive engineering drawings and“
specifications using software like AutoCAD and Revit. These documents are essential for
conveying project requirements to contractors and ensuring accurate execution
What are the basic skills of a civil engineer

Basic skills of a civil engineer include technical knowledge, computer-aided design (CAD)
proficiency, project management, problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, and
adaptability
What are the roles and responsibilities of a civil engineer

A civil engineer is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and managing
infrastructure projects, ensuring public safety, and collaborating with other professionals, such
as architects, geologists, and environmental scientists
What is the role of a site engineer in a construction project
A site engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work is
carried out according to plans and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and
suppliers, maintaining quality control, and resolving technical issues that arise during
construction
What is your favorite role to fulfill on a project team

I enjoy taking on the role of project lead, where I can oversee the entire project, manage“
timelines, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. This allows me to leverage my
organizational and leadership skills

Quality control is the process of inspecting and testing construction materials and workmanship
to ensure compliance with specifications, while quality assurance is the proactive process of
implementing and monitoring procedures, systems, and standards to prevent defects and
ensure quality
How do you ensure compliance with building codes and regulations on a construction
site
I ensure compliance by
Regularly reviewing local building codes and regulations
Conducting inspections at various stages of construction
Verifying that construction materials meet code requirements
Collaborating with relevant authorities for inspections and approvals
