    SEQUENCE OF TASK POTENTIAL HAZARDS ACTION OR PROCEDURE


    Assess and prepare equipment a) Back injury a) Assess and inspect equipment, retrieve
    fibreglass ladder to area if required and to follow
    ladder procedures per Caretaking Manual. This
    project will require coordination and preplanning if
    an elevating device is needed to attain height of
    windows. Follow elevating device procedure, as
    per training. Only trained personnel can use the
    elevating device. Indoor use only. Carry necessary
    equipment to the site as required.
    b) Overexertion strain b) Cleaning windows with pressure equipment will
    follow manufacturer’s guidelines for use of
    equipment

    c) Slip, trip, fall c) Safely ensure footing and body position for
    awareness of slip, trip or fall, remove any grease,
    oil, mud from shoes, ladder or elevating device,
    avoid over reaching. When using ladders do not
    climb past safe height as per ladder training
    procedures and Caretaking Manual.

    MSDS sheet, manufacturer's guidelines. Also see
    product labels and Caretaking manual.

    g) Bee and wasp sting Staff to be observant of wasp/bee nests and bird
    nests at the entrance or window locations of all
    buildings. Spray insect nests with the provided
    retail insecticide.
    h) Chemical splash h) Be aware of splashing and falling cleaning
    chemicals overhead. Use proper splash goggles to
    avoid any contact with your eyes.
