Aling Waterfall

Aling Waterfall is located in the far north of Bali, specifically at the small village of
Sambangan, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. It’s just 73 km from Ubud, 11 km from the
city of Singaraja and around 80 km from Denpasar. The best way to get to Aling Waterfall is by
car/scooter, which will take around 2 to 2.5 hours from the main tourist areas of Kuta, Canggu,
and Seminyak.
Aling Waterfall is a 35-meter waterfall, split at the top, leaving two streams that fall at
completely different speeds from a steep cliff. It is surrounded by lush jungle, so it’s just as
beautiful if you simply want to admire it from a distance. It provides an inviting, crystal clear
plunge pool and shower-like spray that makes visitors linger. The 4-meter pool is a nice place to
swim and soak. Also, nature has turned the waterfall into a natural water slide. Besides that,
visitors can do cliff jumping from heights of 5m, 10m, or 15m in the nearby waterfalls, named
Kembar, Kroya, and Pucuk Waterfalls. This adrenaline-rush activity suits adventure seekers.
Like all of Bali’s waterfalls, Aling Waterfall looks the most instagrammable during the
wet season (December to March), when the water flow is at its peak. But canoeing, waterslides,
and cliff-jumping are safer during the dry season (April to November) when the water level is
lower and the water flow is less intense. It is indeed the right place to immerse yourself in quiet
nature, explore amazing scenery, and enjoy clean and fresh water.
7. People attracted to visit Aling Waterfall are those who ….
a. Love noise
b. Dislike travelling
c. Have an extreme and irrational phobia of water
d. Are adrenaline junkies with adventurous souls
e. Have potential to cope with tiredness and fatigue

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland which is located in the north east of Sidney.
Brisbane has grown bigger and bigger and swallowed the surrounding cities like Logan,

Others were wooden houses. The high-rise was very rare. The skycrapers only found in the inner
city and the roads were not crowded.
However, Brisbane has grown fast in these three decades. The warm weather in
Queensland encourages people to move to Brisbane, the south-east Queensland. It’s not
surprising that Brisbane has expanded to both Caloundra and Gold Coast in the west, it stretches
to Toowoomba. The growth of Brisbane reminds people about Los Angeles. That’s why people
call Brisbane Bris Angeles

8. What does the ‘high-rise’ mean? (paragraph 2)

Question 15
The Influence of Tourism for Local People

Tourism has become an influential contributor to development of the economies of most

countries. Tourism industries provide many jobs, development, and money. However, almost all
the profits are often taken by foreign investors, not local people.

Many multinational hotel chains do not care about the surrounding environment. They
carelessly destroy it and do not replace what they have damaged. That can create social, cultural,
and geographical issues for the local people. Furthermore, most tourists are more likely to go to
luxury restaurants and hotels run by multinational chains. Not many visitors spend their money
in restaurants and hotels run by the local people. It may impact the development of local tourism
businesses.

Local governments have the responsibility to issue tourism regulations to make sure that
most of the benefits go to the local people and that no constructions cause harm to the natural
environment.

Lions roaring in the morning sun

Searching for a longer day
People feeling like the light has just come
We must never stop the way

Birds are chirping and I hear my name

Grass is green and so alive
Life is happy, but it's so insane
We must merely make a strive

Savannah
I'm comin' home
Savannah
We'll never be alone
Savannah
The beauty of the world
Savannah
Let's all take a whirl
Savannah

The lions gone and come

The birds have just begun
We will always take a stand
For the people, for the land

Let’s go back to when we were young

For the animals we stand
Let's go back to when trees were swung
Kids across the land

Savannah
I'm comin' home
Savannah
We'll never be alone
Savannah
The beauty of the world
Savannah
Let's all take a whirl
