This Prayer book is a step
by step guide to perform
Salat according to the
Sunnah of the Prophet
Muhammad (S.A.W).
 Salat is a highly important
obligation upon all the Muslims
performed five times a day. In
Salat, a Muslim faces Allah, the
Exalted, with his mind and body. It
is therefore necessary to precede it
by preparing himself and making
his mind and body ready. This will
enable him to be devoted and
observe the prayer in a perfect
manner. For this reason, the
following are prescribed for the
observation of Salat.

Prayer Etiquettes

❖ Sincerity- Allah will not accept any deed,

except that which is done sincerely for
His sake without any showing off
❖ Perfecting ablution
❖ Making it on time
❖ Commitment to the Sunnah of the
Prophet in all his prayers
❖ Beginning your prayer with love and with
longing to appeal to God - the Almighty
❖ Wearing clean clothes and using miswak
to clean your mouth
❖ Don’t make it in hurry give every step its
time
❖ Thinking and pondering the meanings of
the verses and dhikr, and avoiding
negligence and forgetfulness in prayer
❖ Sitting in the prayer hall after each
prayer to seek forgiveness, remembrance
and supplication

 Wudu Steps

❖ Make your intention to perform Wudu.
❖ Say “Bismillah“ (In the Name of Allah). You can say
it silently to yourself.
❖ Wash your hands three times. Start with your right
hand. Make sure to wash in between your
fingertips and all the way up to your wrists.
❖ Rinse your mouth three times. Do this thoroughly
to clean your mouth properly.
❖ Clean your nose by sniffing water into nostrils and
ejecting it out three times.
❖ Wash your face from the top of the forehead to
the bottom of the chin and from ear to ear three
times.
❖ Wash your arms three times from the right hand
up the far end of the elbow then follow the same
process for your left arm.
❖ Wipe your head once. Move your wet hands from
the hairline to the back of the head and then from
the back to the forehead.
❖ Wipe your ears once by inserting the tips of your
wet index fingers into ears. Then wipe the back of
the ears with your thumbs.
❖ Wash your feet three times. Begin from your right
foot and wash up to and including your ankle.
Make sure water touches every area of the foot.
❖ Recite the Shahada and the Dua.

‫أشهد أَن َل إ َِلـه إَِل اّلل وحده َل َشيـك‬
ُ‫ـدهُ َو َر ُسـولُـه‬ َ ُ َّ ُ َ ْ َ ُ َ
ُ ْ‫ُم َّمـدا ً َعب‬ ‫لـه وأشهد أن‬
Ashhadu an la ilaha illal-lahu wahdahu la
shareeka lahu, wa-ashhadu anna
Muhammadan abduhu warasooluhu.
I bear witness that none has the right to be
worshipped except Allah, alone without
partner, and I bear witness that indeed
Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

‫اللهـم اجعلنِـي ْمِن اتلـوابِني واجعـل ِِن‬
َ ‫م َِن ال ُم َت َط ههـر‬

Allahummaj-alnee minat-tawwabeena
wajalnee minal-mutatahhireen.

O Allah, make me of those who return to

You often in repentance and make me of
those who remain clean and pure.

َ ‫ـواب‬ ْ ْ َّ ‫اَللَّ ُه‬

‫ني‬ َّ َّ َ
ِ ‫مِن اتل‬ ‫اج َعلنِـي‬ ‫ـم‬
minat-tawwabeena aj’alni Allahumma

of those who return make me O Allah

َ‫م َِن ال ْ ُم َت َط ههـرين‬ ْ َ ْ َ

‫واجعـل ِِن‬
ِ ِ
minal-mutatahhireen wajalnee

and
of those who remain clean and pure
make me

 Dua For Riding A Vehicle

َ‫ان َّاَّلِي َس َّخ َر ََلَا َه َذا َو َما ُك َّنا َ َُل ُم ْقرن ِني‬
َ َ ْ ُ
‫سبح‬
ِ َ َْ َ َ َّ
‫ِإَونا إَِل َر هب ِ َنا ل ُمنقل ِ ُبون‬
Subhana-alladhi sakh-khara la-na hadha wa ma
kunna la-hu muqrinin. Wa inna ila Rabbi-na la
munqalibun.
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, for
we could never have accomplished this by
ourselves. And surely to our Lord we must return.

ُ َ َ َ َّ َّ َ
‫َو َما ك َّنا‬ ‫هذا‬ ‫َلَا‬ ‫َسخ َر‬ ‫اَّلِي‬ ‫ُسبْ َحان‬
wa ma
hadha la-na sakh-khara alladhi Subhana
kunna

َ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َّ ُ َّ َ
‫اللهـم افتـح َِل أبواب رْحتـِك‬
bismil-lahi wassalatu wassalamu ala rasoolil-
lah, allahumma iftah lee abwaba rahmatik.

In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace

be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open
the gates of Your mercy for me.

 Dua When Leaving The Masjid

‫اللهـم إ ِ ِّن أسألك مِن فضـلِك‬
allahumma innee as-aluka min fadlik

O Allah, I ask You from Your favor.

َ ْ َ َ َُ ْ َ ‫ه‬ َّ ‫اَللَّ ُه‬

‫م ِْن فضـلِك‬ ‫أسألك‬ ‫إ ِ ِّن‬ ‫ـم‬
min fadlik as-aluka innee Allahumma

from Your favor ask You I O Allah

 Read Opening Dua After Takbeer

‫اللهم وبِحم ِد َك َوتبارك اسمك‬ َ ‫سبحانك‬

ُ ْ ‫َو َت َعاَل َج ُّد َك َوَل إ ََل غ‬
‫ْي َك‬ ِ
Subhaana kallahumma wa bihamdika, wa
tabaarakasmuka, wa ta’aalaa jadduka, wa laa
‘ilaaha ghayruka

Glory is to You O Allah, and praise. Blessed

is Your Name and Exalted is Your Majesty.
There is no god but You.

Auzubillahi minash shaitan arrajeem
I seek refuge with Allah from the
accursed Shaitan

‫جيم‬
ِ ‫ٱلر‬ ‫م َِن الشيطا ِن‬ ِ‫بِاّلل‬ ‫أعوذ‬
ar-rajeem minash shaitan billahi Auzu

Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem. Alhamdulillahi
Rabbil ‘aalameen. Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem.
Maliki Yawmid-Deen. Iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka
nastaeen. Ihdinas Siraatal Mustaqeem. Siraatal
lazeena an’amta ‘alaihim ghayril maghdoobi
‘alaihim wa lad daaalleen.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and the
Most Merciful. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord
of the worlds – The Entirely Merciful, the
Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of
Recompense. It is You we worship and You we
ask for help. Guide us to the straight path – The
path of those upon whom You have bestowed
favor, not of those who have evoked [Your]
anger or of those who are astray.

All praises
(of) the universe the Lord (be) to Allah

‫ك‬ ‫حي ِم‬ َّ

ad-Dīn yawmi māliki Ar-Raĥīmi Ar-Raĥmāni

nasta`īn wa 'Īyāka na`budu iyāka

‫ٱلص َر ٰ َط‬

al-ladhīna sirāţa al-mustaqīma as siraath Ihdinā

ِ ‫غ‬ ‫علي ِهم‬
al-maghđūbi ghayri alayhim 'an`amta
those who earned You have granted
not (of) on them
(your) anger blessings

ađ-dalleen wa lā `alayhim

(of) those who go astray and not on themsleves

٤ ‫ ولم يكن َلۥ كفوا أحد‬٣ ‫ولم يول‬
Qul huwal laahu ahad. Allah hus-Samad. Lam yalid
wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakul-lahoo kufuwan ahad.
Say, “He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Eternal
Refuge. He neither begets nor is born and there is
no one equal to Him.”

Sami' Allaahu liman hamidah
Allah has heard the one who praises Him

‫اّلل‬ ‫َس ِم َع‬

Allahummagh-fir lee, warhamnee, wahdinee,
wajburnee, wa 'aafinee, warzuqnee, warfa’nee

O Allah forgive me and have mercy on me

and guide me and support me and protect me
and provide for me and elevate me.

ْ َْْ َ ْ َّ
‫َواه ِد ِّن‬ ‫ارْح ِِن‬‫و‬ ‫اغفِ ْر َِل‬ ‫الل ُه َّم‬
wahdinee warhamnee ighfir lee Allahumma
and have
and guide me forgive me O Allah
mercy on me

‫ارف ْع ِِن‬ ْ ‫َو‬

and elevate me

‫اۡل ِني أشهد أن َُل إَِل‬ ِ ‫اّللِ الص‬
َ ِ‫علين َّا ولَع ع َِباد‬
َ ُ َّ ُ َ ْ َ ُ َّ
ُ‫ُم َّم ًدا َعبْ ُدهُ َو َر ُسوَل‬ ‫إَِل اّلل وأشهد أن‬
At-tahiyyatu lillah, was-salawatu wa tayyibatu,
assalamu 'alayka ayyouhan nabiyyu wa
rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, assalamu 'alayna
wa 'ala 'ibadillahis salihin, ashhadu an la ilaha
illallah wa ashhadu anna mohammadan ‘abduhu
wa rasooluh.

To God belong all greetings of praise, and all

prayers and all good deeds. Peace be upon you,
O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His
blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the
righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah, and I
bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and
His Messenger.

wa barakatuhu wa rahmatullahi annabiyyu ayyuha 'alayka

and His blessings and the mercy of Allah Prophet O upon you

َ ‫اۡل‬
‫ِني‬ َّ
ِ ‫الص‬ ِ ‫ع َِبادِ اّلل‬ ‫َولَع‬ ‫َعليْ َنا‬ ‫السَل ُم‬
assalihin 'ibadillahi wa 'ala 'alayna assalamu

the righteous slaves of Allah and upon upon us Peace be

ُ َّ َّ َ‫إ ََل‬ َ ْ َ ُ‫أَ ْش َهد‬

‫اّلل‬ ‫إَِل‬ ِ ‫أن َل‬
Allahu illa ilaha an la ashhadu

Allah but god that (there is) no I bear witness

ُ َُ َ ُ‫َعبْ ُده‬ َُ َّ َ ُ‫َوأَ ْش َهد‬

ُ‫وَل‬ ‫ورس‬ ‫ُم َّم ًدا‬ ‫أن‬
wa rasooluh ‘abduhu mohammadan anna wa ashhadu

and His and I bear

is His slave Muhammad indeed

ِ ‫لَع إِبراهِيم ولَع آ ِل إِبراهِيم إِن‬
Allahumma salli 'ala muhammedin wa 'ala aali
muhammed, kama sallayta 'ala ibrahima wa 'ala aali
ibrahim, innaka hamidum majid.
O Allah, send peace upon Muhammad and on the
people of Muhammad, just as You sent peace upon
Ibrahim and on the people of Ibrahim. Verily, You are
full of Praise and Majesty.

Allahumma barik 'ala muhammedin wa 'ala aali
muhammed, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala
aali ibrahim, innaka hamidum majid.
O Allah, send Blessings upon Muhammad and
upon the people of Muhammad, just as You sent
Blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the people of
Ibrahim. Verily, You are full of Praise and Majesty.

 Duas After Alsalah Alibrahimiyah

ِ ‫َر َّب َنا آت َِنا ِِف النيا حسنة و ِِف اْل‬
‫خرة ِ حسنة‬
َّ َ َ َ َ َ
ِ‫وق ِنا عذاب اَلار‬
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil
'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar.

Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is]

good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good
and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

‫َح َس َنة‬ ‫الن َيا‬ ‫ِِف‬ ‫آت َِنا‬ ‫َر َّب َنا‬
hasanatan fid-dunya atina Rabbana

good In (this) world give us Our Lord

ِ ‫اب اَلَّار‬ ‫َوق َِنا‬ ‫َح َس َنة‬ َِ ‫خرة‬
ِ ‫و ِِف اْل‬
adhaban-nar waqina hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati

ِ‫َش ف ِت َنة‬
ِ ‫ِن‬
‫م‬ ‫و‬ ‫ات‬
ِ َ ‫ح َيا َوال َم‬
‫م‬ ْ ِ ِ
َّ َّ
‫المسِيحِ الجا ِل‬ َ
Allaahumma inni ‘aoodhu bika min ‘adhaabi
Jahannama wa min ‘adhaabil-qabri wa min fitnat il-
mahyaa wa’l-mamaati wa min sharri fitnatil-
maseehid-dajjal.
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the
punishment of Hell and the punishment of the
grave, and from the trials of life and death and
from the evil of the turmoil of the Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal.

‫َج َه َّن َم‬ ‫اب‬
ِ ‫مِن ع‬

al maseehid-dajjal fitnati wa min sharri wa’l-mamaati

Rabbij alni muqeemas salati wa min zurriyati
Rabbana wa taqabbal du’a

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and

from my offsprings. Our Lord, and accept my
prayer.

Allahumma ihdini feeman hadayt, wa a’fini fiman
afait, wa tawallani fiman tawallait, wa barik li
fima atait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, fa Innaka
taqdi wa la yuqda Alaik, wa innahu la yadhillu
man walait, wala yaizzu man aadait, tabarakta
Rabbana wa ta’alait.
O Allah, guide me along those You have guided,
Protect me with those whom You have
protected, take care of me with those You have
taken care of, And bless me in what You
bestowed. And save me from the evil You have
decreed . For verily, You decree over everything
and none decree over You. For surely, he You
show allegiance to is never abased and he
whom You take as an enemy is never honored.
O our Lord! Blessed and Exalted are You.

yaizzu wala walaita man yadhillu

wa ta’alait Rabbana tabarakta aadaita man

‫نتم عٰب ِ ُدون‬ ‫ َوَل أ‬٤ ‫َوَل أن َا ََعبِد َّما ع َبدتم‬
َ َ ُ ُ ُ َ ُ ُ َٓ
٦ ‫ِين‬ ِ ‫ لكم دِينكم و ِل د‬٥ ‫ما أعبد‬
Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun. Laaa a’budu maa
t’abudoon. Wa laaa antum ‘aabidoona maaa
a’bud. Wa laaa ana ‘abidum maa ‘abattum. Wa
laaa antum ‘aabidoona maaa a’bud. Lakum
deenukum wa liya deen.

Say, “O disbelievers, I do not worship what you

worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I
worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you
worship. Nor will you be worshippers of what I
worship. For you is your religion, and for me is
my religion.”

alkafiroon Ya ayyuha Qul

ُ‫أَع ُبد‬
disbelievers O you Say

‫تع ُب ُدون‬ ‫َما‬ ‫َلآ‬
tabudoon maa aabudu laa

you worship what I worship not

ُ‫أَع ُبد‬ َ َ ُ‫أَنتم‬ َ

‫َمٓا‬ ‫عٰب ِ ُدون‬ ‫َوْل‬
aabud maaa aabidoona antum walaa

I worship (of) what (are) worshippers you and not

ُّ َ ََْ ََ
‫ع َبد تم‬ ‫َّما‬ ‫ََع ب ِ ٌد‬ ‫أ نا‬ ‫وْل‬
abadtum ma aabidun ana walaaa

you worship (of) what a worshipper I am and not

ُ‫أَع ُبد‬ َ َ ُ‫أَنتم‬ َ

‫َمٓا‬ ‫عٰب ِ ُدون‬ ‫َوْل‬
aabud maaa Aabidoona Antum walaaa

(are)
I worship (of) what You and not
worshippers

deen walia deenukum lakum

٢ ‫َش ما خلق‬ ِ ‫ مِن‬١ ‫ب ٱلفل ِق‬ ِ ‫قل أعوذ بِر‬

‫ت‬
ِ ‫َش ٱَلفث‬ ِ َ ‫ِن‬ ‫م‬ ‫و‬ ٣ ‫ب‬ ‫ق‬‫و‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ذ‬ِ ‫إ‬ ‫ق‬ ‫س‬
ِ ‫َغ‬ ‫َش‬
ِ ‫ِن‬ ‫م‬‫و‬
َ َ َ َ َ‫ه‬ َ
َ ٤ ‫ِف ٱل ُعق ِد‬
٥ ‫َش حا ِسد إِذا حسد‬ ِ ‫ِن‬ ‫م‬ ‫و‬ ِ
Qul a’uzoo bi rabbil-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq.
Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab. Wa min
sharrin-naffaa-saati fil ‘uqad. min sharri haasidin
iza hasad.
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak. From
the evil of that which He created. And from the
evil of darkness when it settles. And from the evil
of the blowers in knots. And from the evil of an
envier when he envies.”

‫الفل ِق‬ ‫ب‬
ِ ‫بِر‬ ‫أعوذ‬ ‫قل‬
al-falaq birabbi 'a`ūdhu Qul

(of) the dawn In (the) Lord I seek refuge Say

khalaq ma sharri min

He created (of) what the evil from

َ َ‫َوق‬ َ َ ‫َ ه‬

ِ‫ َّ إِله‬٢ ‫اس‬ ِ ‫ك ٱَل‬ ِ ِ ‫ مل‬١ ‫اس‬ ِ ‫ب ٱَل‬ ِ ‫قل أعوذ بِر‬
َّ َ َ َ ‫ه‬ َ َّ‫ٱَل‬
‫ ٱَّلِي‬٤‫اس‬ ِ ‫اس ٱۡلن‬ ِ ‫َش ٱلوسو‬ ُِ ‫ِن‬ ‫م‬ ٣ ‫اس‬ ِ
َِّ‫ م َِن ٱْلنة‬٥ ‫اس‬ ِ َّ ‫ٱَل‬ ‫ور‬ ‫د‬ُ ‫ص‬ ‫ِف‬ ‫س‬ُ ‫يُ َوسو‬

٦ ‫اس‬ ِ َّ‫َوٱَل‬
Qul aaoothu bi rabbin naas. Maliki’n naas.
Ilahi’n naas. Min sharril waswaasil khannaas.
Alladhee yuwaswisu fee sudurin naas. Minal
jinnati wannaas.
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The
King of mankind. The God of mankind, From
the evil of the retreating whisperer – Who
whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind –
From among the jinn and mankind.”
