Calling all crocheters, we are inviting people everywhere to help us create a trail of mini eagles that
will be flying out across the area this summer. They will be flying out to local locations, shops and
organisations for people to find during the Hampshire school summer holidays. We would like to
thank Ginette Pope of The Kind Stitchers of Andover for creating the following pattern.

dec – decrease R1: begin with a mr, ch 1 then 6dc into the ring (6)

R16: *inc, dc 10* x3 (36) R28-35: dc in every stitch (48)
R18a: (FLO) *(dc, ch 1, tr) in the first stitch, (dtr, ch1) in R37: *dec, dc 5* x6 (36)
the second stitch, dtr in the third stitch, (tr, ch 1, dc) in
R38: *dec, dc 4* x6 (30)
the fourth stitch, sl st in the fifth stitch* x8 (the final sl st

Fasten off, leaving a long end for sewing Stuff body
Beak
R1: begin with a mr, ch 1 then 4dc into the ring (4)
Use the centre back stitch marker to help you find the
centre front then insert the safety eyes on the front of
the head between rows 7 and 8, 5 stitches apart or
embroider eyes
Stuff head
Using the long tail end of the head (white yarn), stitch
the neck frills to the main body
Wings
Use brown yarn, work in rows (see picture below for ref.)
