As a child, Lar-On was obsessed with the moons of Krypton (Wegthor is still intact, giving us some
sense of when this took place). Thats my main takeaway from this book which I like quite a bit. JF.
His style is semi-similar to Brian Ching's so there is a nice sense of continuity in the proceedings. The
plan is easy, using tech from Dr. Ecks ( the villain Dr. Double X ), Veritas can make an 'energy twin'
who can walk around Lar-On's mind. Kara hopes to have Belinda become her friend and confidante,
someone who understands the pressures she is feeling. The moons mocked him, a reminder of how
he would never get there, a reminder of how life is horrible, and it made him angry. The only links
we provide are those to credit a source and links we feel will enhance our users' Supergirl experience.
Or, leave a comment on the blog here, I'm always looking for new awesome people in the comic book
community. He includes dozens of homages to the Pre-Crisis continuity and he depicts Kryptonians
as massively powerful. Im more inclined to buy a Supergirl movie, since the arch-type plays to
themes I like. Bella has a great innocent look about her that really makes you buy her as Supergirl’s
kid sister totally unprepared for Jack’s assault. Kara reminds them she promised Lar-On she would
help. She can't necessarily explain why she is so exhausted (I guess saving cows is a nighttime chore
for young super-heroines), stammering to say that she had a long night doing 'normal teenage human
things'. For that reason, we promise to keep Supergirl.tv 100% advertisement free. It's just a subtle
jab at how cliques all fall into line. When we started reading this adventure, we weren't sure how we
would feel seeing so many artist drawing different chapters of the book. So seeing the Tycho
Corporation back in the book is welcomed. You can feel him running, fur flying, limbs swinging. She
realizes that everyone is talking about her because the school has been plastered with embarrassing
Linda for class president' posters with a less than flattering picture of her. I prefer original
superheriones because they offer more creative content. The fight between Magog and Supergirl is
brief but very interesting. Because he knows that leaving Supergirl alone when she clearly needs help
worked so well in the past. Kara felt betrayed when she found out that Shay considered her a ticking
time bomb. I loved the slow start, but this is about the right time to pick up the pace. This is one of
the few ongoing titles I have decided to keep buying and from the looks of this issue, it was a good
decision to make. Instead, Belinda puts together a string of insults calling Kara embarrassing, a train
wreck, frumpy, and someone with 'zero grace'. The sexual peril is my favorite in the series so far. But
I agree I don't really like Ching's art, even if this issue was an improvement. That's intriguing, Louis,
Action a team book, like Detective I don't think DC has ever done this, have they. We suffer the
consequences while the universe shuffles its deck chairs to accommodate you.
The issue ends showing the two roommates saying good night to one another, not suspecting their
connection. It shows what can happen when everyone works together to overcome evil. Lar-On's
issues resonate somewhat with Kara's life which gives the book an extra level of emotional weight.
Even more so its an Adventures of Supergirl morning. How Supergirl ends up in the Zone, the villain
that attacks her right before, the twisted acts of Xa-Du in the Zone are all very intriguing plot
threads. I've heard Action Comics is going to become a team book and the solicits do mention
uniting the Superman Family so Jurgens would have to bring in Supergirl for that, and I don't mean
Matrix. The press is there! I just have to say again that I love this take on Kara. Still, the DEO and
Cameron Chase are listening in and remind Kara that Tycho shouldn't have Phantom Energy Tech.
Those are your characters and would like to see them more often than Supergirl. But it is clear that
Lar-On's father is taking it to a dark, unremitting level. What grade would you give this year's worth
of Supergirl stories. So, if that is the case, maybe that could help push the book a little at your store.
Instead, Belinda puts together a string of insults calling Kara embarrassing, a train wreck, frumpy,
and someone with 'zero grace'. I'm a huge fan of The Twilight Zone series (the original, real, series)
because those episodes, as well as Mr. Rod Serling himself, were very inspiring. Brian Ching is on art
and I find myself getting more comfortable with his style. Nope, she is a cute confident cheerleader
with an evil streak a mile wide. And Orlando has clear respect for the DCU history as well. You can
feel him running, fur flying, limbs swinging. I wonder if he'll introduce her to Jon or not. Louis. I

at 11:16 AM I gave her an A because its the only bright spot in the entire train wreck that is the New
52. Might have an issue of seeing the connector to the base through the clear base. Professor Xa-Du,
the Phantom King, seems to have taken over the Zone (maybe like a criminal in prison running a cell
block?). But that 'stellar rock collection' her teacher was talking about included a chunk of
Kryptonite. This issue had enough mystery to keep me intrigued and gave just enough away to
satisfy the part of me that is wondering what the heck is going on. I loved the slow start, but this is
about the right time to pick up the pace. Add to that the 'tips of the cap' to Supergirl history and you
get a really wonderful book, both for the older fans and the Johnny DC crowd. What's worse. there
isn't even an election planned. The sexual peril is my favorite in the series so far. As a guy who grew
up with a pre-Crisis Superman, this brought back memories.
And I'm not sure what the heck happened in the latest issue. And I loved her words: you shouldn't
stop dreaming only because your dreams are unreachable. Even more so its an Adventures of
Supergirl morning. It sounded as though the new take was going to be of an isolated, alienated,
disaffected, persecuted young woman. Me? I liked a lot. I loved seeing Kara struggling through a
nightmarish, changing mindscape, battling packs of monsters and trying to help a lonely little kid.
Now as someone who quotes Voltaire at work all the time, saying 'perfect is the enemy of good'
when trying to implement change and progress, I think that you have to occasionally be a realist. I
wonder if Kara will get her Pre-Flashpoint memories back. Writing friends is one of my favorite
things to do, and this comic is no exception. The idea that Supergirl didn't speak English in the New
52 and now she is giving speeches showing how much she is grown is brilliant. So overall, this was a
good opening chapter to this arc and the upcoming year. This is why we are so excited for Chapter 9
of Adventures of Supergirl. I thought Babs looked a tad disconcerted when Kara started dropping
hints. Don’t want to scare away new talent with going 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. Every teenager has a
specific spirit, you just have to kind of hang out with them a bit and it shines through in the things
you want to write for them. The book opens with a plot point from earlier coming to fruition. The
fight between Magog and Supergirl is brief but very interesting. I wasn't sure what to think of
Candor at first either, but between the revelation made in this issue and the quality of writing and art
I am quite satisfied. And you might think she might have thought to reach out to her cousin as well.
So, if that is the case, maybe that could help push the book a little at your store. Loved that 'I do not
only show up for explosions' line. I haven't seen Lena Thorul since the Superman Family days. Of
course, it does seem to confirm what we expect, so if that is a bit of sense among Lana's hysterics,
hoorah. Wasn't he a hero in the JSA in the pre-New 52 days. His hopes were 'poisoned' and these
monsters are there to wreak revenge on those who squelched them. However, Linda was a great
character who bore the S-shield proudly and deserves better than what she got. The only links we
provide are those to credit a source and links we feel will enhance our users' Supergirl experience.
Cameron Chase and the DEO has arrived to help and tell Supergirl not to go into the zone but a
hero's choice is clear. In a nice page with plenty of small inset panels, we see her declare she is
Supergirl. Now I will have to dig a bit deeper into my collection. However, I wouldn’t want to see
three or more Supergirl releases in a row.
