King of Carnage Event Pack v1
King of Carnage Event Pack v1
During the darkest days of the Horus Heresy there were countless occasions on which
multiple blood-streaked rivals would converge upon a single location to do battle. Bright
heroism was displayed and bleak sacrifices were made amidst the carnage of these
singular battlefields, wherein the bounds of ‘Traitor’ and ‘Loyalist’ both were transgressed
to become only ‘enemy’ and ‘hated foe’.
No quarter was asked for or given during these grim affairs in which brother slaughtered
brother, and whence only one faction could emerge steeped in desperate glory and bitter
shame. This last man standing amidst the ruin earned the epithet ‘King of Carnage’.
Carnage is a four player free-for-all The idea at the heart of this event is to

Assembly: All models must be fully assembled and on bases the size the official models
come with. The only exception to this rule is that players may place character models on
a base larger than they come with if they have modelled them with a display base.
Painting: Being fully painted is a requirement for this event. This means all models
should be painted to a reasonable standard (better than “three colour minimum”) in
appropriate colours for their Legion, and based. We aren’t asking for golden daemon
winners, but do expect you put the effort in out of respect to your opponents.
Clarity: All models should be as “WYSIWYG” as possible. Conversions, third-party and
3D-printed models are welcome but they must clearly represent the unit as presented in
your army list.
Every player attending the King of Carnage event is expected to maintain a high
standard of sportsmanlike behaviour.
The event mission can be unpredictable and punishing, particularly if you appear to be
the strongest player on the table – you might be betrayed by your friends, you might feel
like you are being picked on by your opponents, and you might lose – it’s important to
remember that it’s just a game and maintain a good attitude throughout. Also please be
respectful and attentive during your opponents’ turns and be available to make saving
throws when called for. Don’t blame your opponents for being ruthless, that’s the nature
of the event!
The event organisers reserve the right to ask any player not felt to be maintaining the
correct level of sportsmanship to leave the event with no refund given.
• Good humour – Carnage can get pretty weird and wonderful. This is not a
competitive tournament, have fun and help your opponents have fun too
• Printed copy of your army list
• Your painted and based army
• Your own copies of the relevant rulebooks, army books and FAQs
• Your dice, measuring tape and templates
• If you’re extra organised: water, painkillers, hand sanitiser, deodorant, super glue
