=> Blast load shall be applied on each individual component listed above in combination with permanent loads (e.g. self weight)
=> Rebound effects shall be account for by applying the load in the reverse direction in a static analysis
=> The resultant average load on supports shall be defined according to the respective amount of grated and plated areas on the plate
=> The blast load shall be applied on each direction successively in combination with permanent loads (e.g. self weight)
5- ADDITIONNAL REQUIREMENTS
=> For decks, the global blast loading on supports (e.g. stools) wil depend on the number of simultaneously loaded decks.
This should be taken into account on a case-by-case basis
=> The explosion loads are the effective loads applied on items and already include the drag coefficient when necessary. Hence the
discipline in charge of the design shall set the drag coefficient to 1 (one) in its software if blast is considered as an equivalent wind load
6- NOTES
Note 1 :
Note 2 : A more accurate DAF may be determined by performing a modal analysis on a specific component otherwise the maximum expected DAF is used.
The equivalent static design pressure shall be modified according to the relation below when a specific DAF is available

4.2 - Blast load cases
=> The global loads are computed from the knowledge of the blast pressure applied in the direction considered and the corresponding
windage area :
- For the transverse directions (Y and Z-directions), the windage area is D.L, where D is the diameter and L the length of the vessel.
- For the longitudinal direction (X-direction), the windage area is SD²/4, where D is the outer diameter of the vessel.
=> The blast load shall be applied on each direction successively in combination with permanent loads (e.g. self weight)

Integrity (Partition/Containment)
=> Blast load shall be applied on each individual component listed above in combination with
permanent loads (e.g. self weight, operating conditions)
=> The blast load shall be applied on each direction successively X,Y and Z in combination with permanent loads (e.g. self weight)
=> The windage area is to be calculated from the outer diameter of the pipework considered, including thermal insulation if any and the Length
=> The net applied load will be considered as the sum of the drag loads applied on individual components with an increase of 20%
of the windage area for taking into account the increase of turbulence generated by a group of components
5- ADDITIONNAL REQUIREMENTS
=> The explosion loads are the effective loads applied on items and already include the drag coefficient when necessary. Hence the
