    Highway Use Tax and Automotive Fuel Carrier (AFC) Certificate of Registration (C of R)
    C of R(s) must be cancelled within 5 days after termination of your right to the use and control of the vehicle. C of R can be cancelled online by accessing New
    York State's One Stop Credentialing and Registration (OSCAR) website (at www.oscar.ny.gov ).

    To update your business address, you can do so online. Visit our website (see Need help? ) select the option to change your address. You may also use Form
    DTF-96, Report of Address Change for Business Tax Accounts . You must report other changes (such as business name or ID number) on Form DTF-95,
    Business Tax Account Update . You can get these forms from our website or by phone.

    Penalties - It is a violation, subject to penalties under Tax Law Article 37, to operate on the public highways of this state a motor vehicle without securing the
    requisite C of R, or with an actual gross or unloaded weight in excess of the gross or unloaded weight set forth on the C of R. All vehicles with HUT or AFC
    credentials must display decals.

    Retain this New York State Form TMT-7, Certificate of Registration. in your regular place of business. It does not authorize motor vehicle weight limits in
    excess of those permitted by the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
