    The Human Development Index (HDI) is better than the


    Gross National Happiness Index (GNH) at measuring the
    quality of life in a country because it considers objective
    indicators such as education, health, and income, which
    gives us an in depth view of a country's development.

    CITIZENS.
    - GNH: BRAZIL FACES SIGNIFICANT SOCIAL AND
    ECONOMIC CHALLENGES, AND WHILE EFFORTS TO
    IMPROVE HAPPINESS ARE IMPORTANT, FOCUSING SOLELY
    ON SUBJECTIVE MEASURES MIGHT OVERLOOK
    DISPARITIES IN WELL-BEING ACROSS DIFFERENT SOCIAL
    GROUPS.

    LIMITATIONS

    - HDI: WHILE HDI PROVIDES A BROAD OVERVIEW OF A COUNTRY'S


    DEVELOPMENT, IT MIGHT OVERSIMPLIFY COMPLEX SOCIAL AND
    ECONOMIC REALITIES AND OVERLOOK FACTORS LIKE
    ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL INCLUSION.
    - GNH: GNH RELIES HEAVILY ON SUBJECTIVE ASSESSMENTS AND
    CULTURAL INTERPRETATIONS OF HAPPINESS, WHICH CAN VARY
    WIDELY ACROSS DIFFERENT POPULATIONS AND MIGHT NOT
    CAPTURE UNDERLYING SOCIO-ECONOMIC DISPARITIES
    ACCURATELY.

    CONCLUSION

    The Human Development Index (HDI) offers a more


    comprehensive approach to measuring the quality of
    life in a country by considering objective indicators
    essential for human well-being. While Gross National
    Happiness (GNH) has its merits, it's important to
    prioritize tangible improvements in education, health,
    and income levels, as demonstrated by the examples
    of Norway, Brazil, and Malawi.
