    ABOUT PAVILION
    The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland is a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue with world-
    class technical facilities and seating for up to 686 patrons. The refurbishment worked within the
    structure of the iconic 40-year-old entertainment centre, re-imagining its internal spaces to create a
    welcoming timber and glass foyer that connects with Peace Park in Eton Street. With abundant
    natural light and park-views, the enhanced audience experience helps in setting a new benchmark for
    metropolitan performing arts facilities in Sydney’s south. Sutherland Shire is renowned for its high-
    calibre local performing arts companies and enthusiastic audiences. The Pavilion is a home for their
    work as well as an exciting selection of Australian and international entertainment.

    ABOUT THE ROLE


    This role works as part of professionals providing high-calibre technical services to a range of clients
    across multiple fine art genres in an exciting new venue environment. As a Casual Duty Technician,
    you will act in the role of supporting the technical team across a range of different disciplines including
    that of; lighting, audio-visual and staging services. This role works in having key experience across a
    range of theatrical and performing art production skills. You’ll be required to work across technical
    teams at Sutherland Arts Theatre, and Pavilion where required. This role will include working across
    the Pavilion precinct, Sutherland Arts Theatre and Pavilion Auditorium.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Facilitate audio, lighting and staging requirements for productions that come through the
    venues.
    - Ensuring the delivery of a consistently high level of efficient and friendly customer service to
    both hirers and other key stakeholders
    - Ensure infrastructure and venue assets are well maintained, repaired and replaced to achieve
    a safe working environment.
    - Interpret technical drawings and requirements for upcoming productions and achieve
    deliverables towards the client or stakeholders occupying the venues.
    - Assist Pavilion operations where possible and have the ability to work across weekends
    where required.

    EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
    Job Status: Casual, no guarantee of hours a week, flexibility to work across weekends and public holidays
    where required.
    Direct Report: Lighting and Sound Senior Technicians-Technical Operations Coordinator
    Salary: $39.68 p/hr including 25% casual loading + 11% superannuation
