COURSE DESIGN

COURSE TITLE: LIGHT VEHICLE DRIVING

NOMINAL DURATION: 118 hrs

QUALIFICATION LEVEL: NC II

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to equip the individual the desirable attitudes and skills of the land
transport light vehicle driver in accordance with industry standards, including the regulatory re-
quirements issued by appropriate regulatory bodies, government and/or private. It covers the fol-
lowing four core competencies: Carry Out Vehicle Maintenance and Servicing, Drive Light Vehi-
cles, Obey and Observe Traffic Rules and Regulations and Implement and Coordinate Accident/
Emergency Procedures

Trainee Entry:

Candidate/trainee must be any of the following:

 Can communicate both oral and written


 Good moral character
 Physically and mentally fit

Requirements:
1. For High School Graduate:

TRAINER QUALIFICATION

 Must be a holder of a Land Transport Light Vehicle NC II certificate


 Must be a holder of a Trainer Qualification Level II (TQ II) certificate
 Must be computer literate
 Must be able to communicate, both orally and in writing
 Must be physically and mentally fit
 Must have a minimum of one-year industry experience in driving light vehicles
 Must possess a current professional driver’s license issued by the Land Transporta-
tion Office.
