Task 1
THE LEARNING
EXPECTATIONS
2
OUTCOMES
A. THE EXPECTATION OF THE COOPERATING SCHOOL AND THE
TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTIONS
Since we are under the 21st century learners and the first batch of the new curriculum, K-
12 curriculum, Saint Dominic Human Development Center expected us, Bachelor of Elementary
Education interns from Isabela State University as teachers who are:
❖ Flexible;
❖ Creative;
❖ Talented;
❖ Knowledgeable in using proper and appropriate motivation and energizer;
❖ Proper time management;
❖ Good in communicating skills; and
❖ Enjoy teaching and learning.
❖ Subject integration
Student teaching experience at SDHDC serves as our aid of our growth continuation where
our character, maturity and professional attitude are challenged beyond our comfort zone.
Specifically, communicating with the cooperating teachers and other faculty members. This may
be the challenge to us, as we are to apply or practice all the theories, methods and strategies we
have learned during our college class.
It is really a tough battle to us but my cooperating teacher ma’am Relly Llovido always
saying that we don’t have to feel nervous but instead we should enjoy our teaching journey because
the more we enjoy teaching the more our learners enjoy learning.
The stated expectations of the cooperating school which is the St. Dominic Human
Development Center, Inc. and my cooperating teacher ma’am Relly above were not as easy as you
read. These are all hard to achieve but I am thankful that I survived and attained their expectations.

strictly follow and done by the staffs and as well as the interns. Do not cheat time because
“cheating is synonymous to stealing” as said by the principal. Another one is to do not give any
assignment during weekends because weekend is for family day.
Ma’am Emilia also reiterate that DLL must always by your side for it serves as the second
Bible of the teacher. And one of her procedures in checking/supervising the teacher’s readiness

ORIENTATION AT SDHDC
The first time I wear my teaching uniform and enter at the gate of St. Dominic Human
Development Center, Inc. I feel like I am now a real teacher at the same time I am so proud of
myself as I fight so many battles to where I stand right now. I am so much grateful and blessed
as we are accepted with overwhelming and immeasurable love and support of our dear
principal at the said school Ma’am Emilia A. Respicio for accepting and
letting us whole heartedly and let us experience teaching our dearest student through online
for 2 times a week. It’s like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. Helping us with our teaching internship
at the same time helping the learners to have more time in their online learning as well as to
interact to the teachers and to their co-leaners as if they are in a face-to-face set-up as part of
the new normal educational system.
April 8, 2022, was the date of our orientation at St. Dominic Human Development
Center, Inc. During the orientation, we talked about the schedule and division of subjects to be
taught. Teacher Relly Llovido was assigned as our cooperating teacher. Mrs. Marry Grace
Cammayo, Mariknol Talvo, Angelica Ocampo, Mellissa Garcia, April Joy Pardito, Maria
Alexandria Panganiban and Zoey Diaz were my co-interns under teacher Relly. I am partnered
with teacher Mellissa Garcia and our subject is MAPEH. I am assigned in Music and Arts
while teacher Mellissa is in Physical Education and Health. I was scheduled at 7:30 -8:10.
April 26 and 29. 2022 was my schedule for online class in Grade 4.
10
Teacher Relly oriented us about the students. She said that 4 out of 5 learners only
attends the class. Adriane Jake Javillana wasn’t able to attend the online class. And Shiena was
the very active and always attending online classes. In addition to this, we also talked about
some rules during the class. We should maintain the activities in the module. We can add some
activities but the activities in the provided module was our priority.
In terms of preparing a DLL, it should be passed or sent a day before the online class.
She gave us modules and, in every module, it should be taught in a week, 2 twice a week
specifically. Same as through with the instructional materials which is the PowerPoint
presentation must be sent a day before the online class. She also discussed that there should be
a subject integration because when the time comes that our principal will observe us, subject
integration is the only thing the principal looking for. Then lastly, she gave some tips on how
to make our students active and enjoy learning, it is to give energizers or motivation or be
creative in making activities before the class start. She also tells us that since we are a K-12
learners, she expected that we are good in making some activities and motivational exercises.
And before she ended the orientation proper, she handed us free printed modules as our guide
in making our first DLL. The she let us took pictures of some information in the books that is
aligned to the lesson.

OUTCOMES
.
A. VISIT THE SCHOOL FACILITIES AND OTHER LEARNING RESOURCES.
B. PREPARE A REPORT ON THE LEARNING FACILITIES AND THE LEARNING
RESOURCES OF THE SCHOOL.
St. Dominic Human Development Center, Inc. is one of the schools I visited with complete
learning facilities. SDHDC has its own room for Home Economics (HE), Conference Room,
Audiovisual Room, School Publication Room and Science Laboratory Room. Other than these
were School Clinic, School Museum, Computer Laboratory, School Library School ground/court
and SDHDC hall. They also have School’s Admin and Faculty Office, Admins and Cashiers
Office, Principal and Faculty Office and the Guidance Office. I have visited some of the learning
facilities at the school. And was amazed by how clean and orderly the facilities were.
Good and well organize school facilities and learning resources is one of the factors on
why the students learn better as well as the teachers teach and deliver their lesson effective to the
learners. Because it can have a profound impact on both teacher and student outcomes. With
respect to teachers, school facilities affect student retention, commitment, behavior, engagement,
learning and growth in achievement.
SDHDC’s facility and other learning resources were designed to ensure that the students
will learn 21st century skills such as teamwork, collaboration, effective communication and other
skills. It is conducive for learning as it is focuses on the attention of the learners specifically in the
Science Laboratory Room, Computer Laboratory Room, Audio visual Room and in Home
Economics Room.
As of their offices, like school admin and faculty office were simple yet the ambiance of
being a teacher is in there specifically that they have their own table. While in admin and cashier’s
office, the papers were put and arranged orderly and well organized in the cabinet. SDHDC hall
and playground were built wide and perfect for the number of the students enrolled in the school.

As a future educator, a conducive learning environment for learners must one of the top
priorities a teacher must plan. A safe classroom environment is one where learners feel physically,
emotionally, and socially comfortable. Children learns best when they feel safe. For it helps the
students to focus in their learning. It will also make them interested in classroom activities that
will further motivate them to learn and discover more. This will enhance them to engage and
achieve greater academic performance, and participate more effectively.

As an interns in St. Dominic Human Development Center, Inc, to make the school as a
friendly and non-threatening, I should be paying attention to my learners needs and interest then
addressed it with the following:
No matter how the students are naughty inside the class, let us teach them with care and
love them as our own child. Because they are the heart of our profession. Let us give them the best
that they need. Let us give them the in ours to make them a better person in the future. Let us mold
them to the way they want to be molded and that will not harm themselves and others. Guide and
show them the path of righteousness. With all of these be a good role model to them for they will
inspired by you and follow your footsteps.

B. IDENTIFY THREE (3) OF HER SIGNIFICANT CHARACTERISTICS AND WHY
YOU NEED TO EMULATE THESE VIRTUES.
A great teacher loves their job and everything about it. This is important especially
for students. Having a casual conversation with the students will somehow inspire them to
learn more. Talked and encourage students and show to them that you are not just their
teacher but as their second mother, sister and as a best friend.
Being a teacher is not just a TEACHER. A teacher is also a nurse, consultant, sister,
best friend and most specially a mother. This makes the teacher more determined to her work
because she will do anything beyond her work just for the sake of the students because she
truly loves and care them. I observed this to my cooperating teacher a I want to emulate this
one because I know to myself that I will do the same as she does.
As a future educator, I need to emulate this characteristic she had. I observed how
patient she is in waiting for our reports as well as to the parents to in getting their modules.
I also observed how approachable she is to everyone, which I believe I should emulate
because I am introvert one. I should practice how to be approachable specially to other
teachers and to the parents.

B. PLAN CAREFULLY THE DIFFERENT INSTRUCTIONAL TASKS GIVEN
With the given instructional tasks to me, I am really careful in planning specially in making
DLL. In making this, I have to imagine my myself teaching in actual to create and decide on what
activities should I employ, that will make the students active and hone their creative thinking as
well as to cooperate in the class discussion. Also, to what part of the lesson or topic should I focus
more so the students can really absorb what I am teaching to them. Another factor that would be
=included in the DLL making is the integration of subject. What subject should be integrated that
is also aligned to the topic? As a teacher, I need to prepare a lesson or DLL so that the students
will feel that the lesson that are given to them is properly sequenced and organized. It also gives
me confidence to discuss the topic since DLL is our second Bible as ma’am Emilia said during our
meeting.
The following are the factors needed to be considered in preparing instructional materials:
33
C. DEMONSTRATE CREATIVITY AND RESOURCEFULNESS IN THE
EXECUTION OF VARIOUS INSTRUCTIONAL TASKS
Designing various instructional tasks needs creativity and being resourcefulness. Having
expertise in the field of teaching is not enough even in Microsoft for the PowerPoint Presentation.
During my teaching internship period, my partner in creating such instructional activities is
YOUTUBE. It is an online platform that can give some ideas in making Instructional materials
creative for it shows and shares videos about being creative on activities and on how to make the
students active through games.
As well as in learning the topic that is not clear to me. It can also be a platform in the teaching
and learning process, especially in today’s new normal set-up of educational system. Other than
the YouTube was also books from my cooperating teacher and her knowledge in my subject matter.

Summary of my Teaching and Learning Experiences
The first time I wear my teaching uniform and enter at the gate of St. Dominic Human
Development Center, Inc. I feel like I am now a real teacher at the same time I am so proud of
myself as I fight so many battles to where I am stand right now. I am so much grateful and blessed
as we are accepted with overwhelming and immeasurable love and support of our dear principal
at the said school Ma’am Emilia A. Respicio for accepting and letting us whole heartedly and let

birds with 1 stone. Helping us with our teaching internship at the same time helping the learners
to have more time in their online learning as well as to interact to the teachers and to their co-
leaners as if they are in a face-to-face set-up as part of the new normal educational system.
On the first day of my teaching internship, April 26, 2022 7:30 am, I met my Grade 4 class.
I was nervous at first because of the thought that I cannot deliver my topic well and at the same
time the thought of having a naughty student. I also feel pressured because of the thought that their
parents are with them. However, I still enjoyed meeting and having them. I got to know them by
asking their name, age, address, ambition/future job or career they want and I also ask them their
expectation to me as their Music and Arts teacher for the fourth quarter school year 2021-2022. I
am glad to hear their responses but I wasn’t able to know anything about Adrian Jake Javillana
because he wasn’t able attend the online meeting due to lack of internet connection and gadget to
be used. Nevertheless, I enjoyed teaching and being with them even if it for just 2 weeks. It’s as if
I am with them the whole year. But, I am a bit sad because I haven’t meet Adrian Jake once.
Shiena and Angelo were the most active in my class.
In terms of the school environment and other activities in the school, I find it joyful because
I really feel that I am now a real teacher specially that I always wear my teaching uniform every
time I go to the school. I enjoyed doing my part like checking and assorting of modules, assisting
parents during PTA meeting and others. I feel so much blessed for they are part of my teaching
journey as well as to my cooperating teachers.
Online class still have its barriers because I experienced a poor internet connection while
discussing that leads me to disconnection in the online meeting. It is a tough battle but my
cooperating teacher Ma’am Relly Llovido and Ma’am Ivy Jane Malacasta and of course my dearest
43
learners are still willing to learn and are patiently waiting for me for about 3 minutes. Despite of
the poor internet connectivity, I’m still glad because they learned something while enjoyed
learning. They turned my normal teaching day to a very special teaching day. Learning at the same
time enjoying learning. No matter how difficult it is today, the future of our dear learners is the
gateway to proceed, go on and never stop shaping and coloring their future. Taking them into a
creative child is the best way of teaching.
I, the student intern at St. Dominic Human Development Center, Inc. from Isabela State
University is beyond grateful and blessed for all the learnings and experiences and tips and pocket
learnings coming from the school, my cooperating teacher and most specially ma’am Emilia A.
Respicio. In which these are PERSONALITY and 4C’s. PERSONALITY of the teacher inside
and out is one of the important in the teaching and learning process specially to the learners. “First
impression is lasting that’s why you have to give your best shot in every of your first’s” ma’am
Emilia stated during our exit conference. She also added that the teacher is the instructional
materials. On the other hand, 4C’s are Confidence, Commitment, Care, and Concern which
must the effective and efficient teachers have. For it will be lasts to the learners’ impression and it
can be the source of their inspiration in becoming a better person and in achieving their dreams in
life.
“Because my teacher believed in me, I never gave up. Now I’m flying towards my dreams.”
