Malnutrition remains a significant problem in the Philippines, particularly in

rural areas like Barangay Fatima Liloy Z, N. The lack of access to proper

nutrition can lead to stunted growth, weakened immune systems, and cognitive

impairments in children. In response to this issue, we propose a more

comprehensive feeding program that will address the nutritional needs of the

community, particularly children.

INTRODUCTION
OBJECTIVES

1. To Reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among children in barangay Fatima

Liloy, Z,N

2. To increase the awareness of the importance of proper nutrition among

community member.

3. To establish a sustainable feeding program that can be replicated in other

barangays.
The fight for comprehensive feeding program advocacy aims to empower

communities through nutrition by addressing the root causes of

malnutrition and food insecurity. This involves promoting community

participation and ownership, ensuring access to nutritious meals, and

strengthening community capacity to manage and sustain feeding

programs. The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable and self-sufficient

food system that benefits all members of the community, particularly the

most vulnerable.

BODY
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
1. Nutrition Education: We will conduct workshops and seminars to educate

parents and caregivers about the importance of proper nutrition, healthy

eating habits, and hygiene practices.

2. Meal Distribution: We will provide daily meals to children aged 6-12 years

old who are identified as malnourished or at risk of malnutrition. The meals

will be prepared in a central kitchen and distributed through designated

feeding stations in the barangay.

3. Community Gardens: We will work with community members to establish

community gardens where they can grow their own vegetables and fruits. This

will not only provide a source of nutritious food but also promote self-

sufficiency and environmental sustainability.

4. Partnerships: We will collaborate with local government units, non-

government organizations, and private institutions to ensure the success of

the program.

This includes securing funding, resources, and technical assistance. Budget:

The total budget for the program is Php 1OO each. This will cover the cost of
meal preparation and distribution, nutrition education materials, establishment
of community gardens, and partnership development.

Conclusion

Addressing malnutrition requires a holistic approach that involves the entire

community. Our proposal aims to empower communities through nutrition

education and the establishment of community gardens. By working together

with local partners, we can create a sustainable feeding program that can be

replicated in other barangays, ultimately
