Summary
Introduction

An animal shelter is a place that is dedicated to providing temporary care and a home for animals
that are either homeless or unwanted.
Introduction
Most Malaysian cities and towns have animal shelters.
Shelters need many personnel and volunteers and must follow federal, state,
and local rules.
Pet overpopulation is a result of uncontrolled breeding and reckless pet
owners.
Even if they don't get rid of unwanted pets, they help stop the spread of
disease and make it less likely that stray animals will bite or scratch you.
The overpopulation of stray animals in Malaysia is caused by over
reproduction by owners, overcrowding in shelters, and unhealthy social
practises such as pet maltreatment and a lack of animal care awareness.

The role of community in Animal Shelter
Animal shelters are essential to our communities

If there isn't an animal shelter or rescue group in a community, such

resources may be badly strained

Many towns have animal shelters or rescue organisations that take on this
responsibility for the protection of both animals and the general public

Volunteering to help animals empowers students to influence their

community in a positive, animal-friendly way.
Ways of how community can take a role in helping animals shelter?
VOLUNTEER AT A LOCAL OPEN-ADMISSION ANIMAL SHELTER
Most animal shelters welcome volunteers who can help walk dogs, clean cages, and
give attention and care to animals in need. Just playing with homeless dogs and
cats can improve their chances of being adopted—as most families who want to
adopt an animal are looking for a sociable, loving, playful dog or cat.
ORGANISE A TOY DRIVE FOR ANIMALS IN THE SHELTER
Toys and blankets for the animals in animal shelters are frequently in utter need. By
organising a blanket and toy collection at universities or in your hometown, you may
help the animals while imparting important kindness lessons to your kids or feeding
stray animals their food.
ADOPT AN ANIMAL
. Your contribution will help safeguard the species from extinction by funding
monitoring, research, and habitat improvement. You can also give it to your animal-
lover buddy as a birthday present!

save abandoned animals
Private Sector
There are many stray dogs and cats on the streets, where they
have a good risk of being discovered by the police and killed.
Private Sector workers do all in their power to provide them with
food, shelter, and a warm embrace. These shelters have been
severely impacted by the epidemic and lockdowns, if not all of
them. As far as we are aware, every shelter on this list really
takes care of the animals.

Summary
Every creature on this planet requires shelter to survive. This
includes cats and dogs. As humans, we must be responsible
and protect animals as long as they exist in this world. Even
though owning an animal has numerous advantages, it also
comes with a huge of responsibility. We must take good care
of them and commit proper attention to them. Helping animals
in need and educating people about the health benefits of
owning an animal are both our responsibilities.
