The flame of glory illuminates an endeavour when
dedicated souls and a pronounced mission set to lay
the foundation of a better tomorrow. IEM owes its
prestigious inception to a group of eminent
academicians and notable technocrats that started a
new era of next-gen techno - education system.
Established in 1989, with the sublime principles of Prof.
A. K. De ( former Director IIT Bombay) who was also the
Principal of IEM till 1997. Spirit and spontaneity was in
no dearth with the association of Prof. K.L. Chopra
(former Director, IIT Kharagpur) in the Governing Body
of this reputed institute.

Principal. I was a teacher and then a director at the Indian Institute
of Technology, Bombay for over two decades.I can assure both

engineering students, and each year IEM
organizes multiple technical fests with great joy
and enthusiasm. The idea of tech fests is to
make technology fun for all along with
providing an opportunity to the students to
bring out their competitive side. The students
from all across the state get a chance to
showcase their capabilities and innovative
thoughts. Apart from giving a new colour and
shape, the technological fests add maximum
value to the students’ resume and intellect.

Our Study Abroad Programme (SAP) is

directed to provide global exposure to the
pupils of diverse disciplines. This scheme has
been concocted to offer a pragmatic erudition
platform to the brilliance of IEM-UEM Group.
The process aids the students to gain hands-on
involvement and equip with the acquaintance
of foreign culture, expansion of business &
academic experiences, economy & industry
dynamics, sense of real-life scenarios. Study
programs can be equally beneficial for the
students as it augments interactions and
communication with foreign faculty,
corporates, certifications and conducting live
presentations and projects. The locations for
our SAP are, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, &
Singapore.

Capgemini have recruited 66 graduates from all over West
Bengal and 23 students are from IEM the highest in West Lupid

6 Students of BCA final year are selected in Amazon. It's a
moment of pride of us, as our BCA students participated in Sasken
the drive where B.Tech students of other colleges India Bulls
participated. IEM is the only college from which BCA
students have been recruited in the drive. ABN Amro
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have recruited 30 students Axis Bank
from IEM. It is the highest Number of recruit from a single
ICICI Prudential
college/group in West Bengal.
Infosys have recruited a total of 188 students from IEM. Reliance Money
M.Tech students this year has got job offers from Cognizant, ICICI Bank
