CAVITE –Lalawigan ng Kabite


 As of 2020, it has a population of 4,344,829, making it the most populated province in the
country
 It is one of the most industrialized and fastest-growing provinces in the Philippines.
 Seat of the government of the province is Trece Martires, although Imus is the official
capital while the City of Dasmariñas is the largest city in the province.
 "Cavite" comes from the Hispanicized form of kawit (alternatively kalawit), Tagalog for
"hook", in reference to the small hook-shaped peninsula jutting out to Manila Bay The
name originally applied to the peninsula.
 Cavite is known as the birthplace of Filipino national heroes such as Juan Saraza
Castañeda, General Pantaleon Garcia, and former president Emilio Aguinaldo.

Attractions:
 Aguinaldo Shrine and Museum - The Aguinaldo Shrine is an important historical site in
Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. It was the ancestral home of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first
president of the Philippines and a leader of the country's fight for independence against
Spanish colonial rule. The Aguinaldo Shrine has been preserved as a museum and is open
for tours. Visitors can explore the various rooms of the house, which are filled with artifacts
and exhibits related to Philippine history, including weapons, furniture, and personal items
of Aguinaldo and other historical figures. This mansion was originally built for the state
visit of US President Reagan. It is being used as communication station.
 Tagaytay City - considered the country’s second summer capital. It is on a ridge above
Taal Lake, and visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and the Taal Volcano
from various vantage points in the city. One of the most popular attractions in Tagaytay is
Picnic Grove, which offers a panoramic view of Taal Volcano and Lake. Visitors can also
enjoy horseback riding, zip-lining, and other outdoor activities. Tagaytay is also home to
several parks and gardens, including the People's Park in the Sky, a former presidential
palace turned Public Park. The park offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside
and is a popular spot for picnics and hiking.
 Maragondon River is a picturesque and tranquil river in Maragondon, Cavite. It is a popular
destination for kayaking, boating, and other water activities and is surrounded by lush
vegetation and scenic views of the nearby mountains.
 Paradizoo Theme Farm is a unique and family-friendly tourist attraction in Mendez, Cavite.
It is a 12-hectare farm that offers visitors an immersive and interactive experience with
various animals, plants, and other agricultural products.
 Corregidor Island is a small rocky island located at the entrance of Manila Bay in Cavite,
Philippines. It played a crucial role in the defense of Manila during World War II and is
now a popular destination for history enthusiasts and tourists.

LAGUNA
 Its capital is Santa Cruz while its largest city is the City of Calamba
 Laguna hugs the southern shores of Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the country. As of
the 2020 census, the province's total population is 3, 382,193. It is the seventh richest
province in the country.

Attraction:
 Rizal Shrine - Two-story, red-tile-roof Spanish vintage house contains all kinds of
Rizalian memorabilia.
 Lake Caliraya - One of the most prominent man-made attractions in the province - A
water reservoir to supply water to the Caliraya Hydroelectric Plant.
 Mt. Makiling - Inactive volcano arising about 1,109 meters above sea level.
 Pagsanjan Falls and Rapids – The actual name of the falls is “Magdapio Falls” because
it is actually located in the town of Magdapio.
 Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery - Built in the 18th century by the Franciscan
missionaries - Has a circular wall in which the tombstones are embedded.

Festival
 Turumba Festival in Pakil Laguna celebrates a festival to honor the Blessed Virgin of
Turumba. Based on history, they consider this as one of the biggest religious gathering in
the place and featuring almost seven fiestas to commemorate the seven sorrows of the Our
Lady of Turumba.
 Sampaguita Festival in San Pedro, a celebration of the city's cultural heritage, vibrant
community, and the beauty of the Sampaguita flower. It is a week-long celebration, from
May 1 to 6, 2023, which will feature cultural performances, a food and trade fair, an open
street art festival, and open stage

BATANGAS
Attractions:
 Taal Lake and Volcano - One of the most prominent bodies of water in Luzon. Along with
taal volcano, it is also one of the most famous attractions in the province
 Anilao (Calumpang Peninsula) (Mabini) - This place is a favourite destination of many –
based diving enthusiasts because of its proximity to the national capital region, the
quality of its dive sites and its numerous diving facilities and resorts.
 Maricaban Island, this secluded beach is an ideal spot for a picnic, swimming, or simply
enjoying the serene surroundings.
 Nasugbu Beaches & Waterfalls, where you can explore pristine shores, magnificent
waterfalls, and stunning natural landscapes. Nasugbu is home to an array of beach resorts
that offer luxurious accommodations, world-class amenities, and unforgettable
experiences.

RIZAL
Attractions:
 Hinulugang Taktak - This mountain resort has picnic cottages, a swimming pool and the
falls itself, which is currently being restored to its former glory.
 Our Lady of Antipolo Shrine - Antipolo is known to be the home of our Lady of Peace
and Good Voyage - This miraculous icon traveled back and forth between Manila and
Acapulco eight times.
 Angono Artist Village - Many artist and musicians make their home in Rizal, particularly
in Angono.
 Masungi Georeserve - Conservation area in the Philippines. - Centers on the geological
formation of Masungi Rocks.
 Wawa (rock walls) - One of the few rock-climbing sites in the Philippines.

Festival:
 Higantes Festival - San Clemente is the patron saint of fishermen, highly reversed by
the people of Angono, since this coastal town is mainly inhabited by fisher folk.
 San Isidro/ Carabao Festival [May 15] - Celebrates the feast day of San Isidro
Labrador, patron saint of farmers

QUEZON PROVINCE
 Was named after Manuel L. Quezon, the second President of the Philippines, first
President of the Philippine Commonwealth, and the former governor.
 Home of few speakers of the critically endangered Inagta Alabat language, one of the
most endangered languages in the world as listed by UNESCO.

Attractions:
 Mt. Banahaw - Western part of the province, famous for mystical attributes.
 Villa Escudero, Tiang - Originally a coconut plantation - Vast resort completes with its
own church
 Quezon National Park - 983-hectare park composed of an intricate system of caves,
waterfalls, springs, creeks, gorges and ravines against a quaint backdrop of lush greenery
 Lamon Bay - Fishing ground and home of various living corals.
 The Old Zigzag Road serves as a crossing point between Southern Philippines and
Northern Quezon. One of the most hazardous routes in the nation is this one. Even the
majority of drivers avoid using this route out of fear. For some people, it can be an
adventure, but there is some risk involved. The reason why this road is referred to as
“Bitukang Manok” by the locals is compelling—they think it resembles the structure of a
chicken’s intestine. If one can understand Filipino, the name alone tells how hazardous
the journey is.
 Kamay Ni Hesus Shrine in Lucban – Quezon Province Tourist Spot. The villagers hold a
deep respect for the Kamay ni Hesus site. The shrine site may be interesting to visit even
if you are not a Catholic. It is currently a well-liked destination for pilgrims who want to
offer prayers for healing or to confess their sins. The expansive grounds of the property
are beautiful, serene, and restful aside from the chapel.

Festival:
 Pahiyas Festival is a food, harvest, and religious festival in honor of San Isidro Labrador
(St. Isidore the Worker) held in the town of Lucban, Quezon, Philippines every 15th of
May. It is officially named Lucban San Isidro Pahiyas Festival.
 Agawan Festival is an annual harvest festival held in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines every
15 May in honor to Saint Isidore the Laborer, the patron saint of agriculture and good
harvest.
