Description Division Memorandum No.492, s.2023 is release with the title
UPDATES TO THE CONDUCT OF ACADEMIC QUARTER 4
PORTFOLIO DAY SY 2022-2023. In reference the Division Memo No.
650 and 667, s.2023, the Leyte Division Office, through the Curriculum
Implementation Division, announces the conduct of the Academic
Quarter 4 Portfolio Day for SY 2022-2023 on July 8, 2023.

Portfolio Day and recognition in school are essential components of a


student's growth and development. Portfolio Day facilitates self-
assessment, showcases creativity, and enhances communication
skills. It serves as motivation, encouraging goal-setting and readiness
for future endeavors. Recognition in school reinforces positive
behavior, nurtures self-esteem, and fosters a supportive atmosphere.
Embracing students' achievements cultivates well-rounded
development and strengthens a sense of community. School support
for these initiatives can significantly impact their effectiveness and
impact on students.

Hence, the Inopacan National High School conducted the 4 th Quarter


Portfolio Day and Recognition on July 8, 2023 at 3:00PM in school’s
Multipurpose Building.

Objectives  To showcase the 4th Quarter Portfolio Output of Grade 7-12


learners.
 To give recognition to 4th quarter academic achievers of Grade 7-
12 learners.
 To discuss the National Learning Camp to parents/guardians.
 To provide updates on upcoming Moving-Up an Promotional Rites
and Graduation Day.
Highlights/Proceedings The following activities were conducted during the event:

 .The Senior High School Department is assigned to prepare for the


Portfolio Day.
 The program started with a prayer, singing of the National Anthem,
and Deped Leyte Hymn at exactly 1:00 PM in the afternoon.
 Toastmaster is Miguela Mae L. Cavite, Senior High School
Teacher.
 Mrs. Vilma M. Apostol, Master Teacher I, gave her words of
welcome.
 Presentation of Portfolio by Department:
- Sci. math Department –Mrs. Yvonne R.Gonzales
- MAKABAYAN Department- Mrs. Ruby H. Mercurio
- Language Department- Mrs. Edenne P. Soliano
- SHS Department- Mr. Ariel O. Nopal
 Mr. Ariel O. Nopal, Senior HighSchool Coordinator, gave an
update about the dates for Moving-Up and Promotional Rites and
Graduation Day. He announced that the Baccalaureate Mass is
rescheduled to July 11, 2023 at 3:00PM in Inopacan Parish Church
instead of July 12. Also, July 12, 2023 at 4:00PM is the Moving-Up
and Promotional Rites and July 13, 2023 at 6:00PM is the
Commencement Exercise for Grade 12.
 Mrs. Edenne P. Soliano, Department Head Designate, discussed
the National Learning Camp (NLC) and its purpose. She
highlighted that it is voluntary and that the learners can learn
during academic break starting from July 24- August 25, 2023 in
compliance to DepEd Order No. 13,s.2018.
NLC is composed of 3 camps--- Enhancement Camp for advanced
learners who have 90 above grade average; Consolidation Camp
for learners who garnered 80-89 average of grade and;
Intervention Camp for learners who got 79 and below average of
grade.
 Enhancement Camp involves developing the depth, breadth,
and complexity of learners’ knowledge, skills, and
understanding.
 Consolidation Camp involves provision of further practice and
application of previously taught competencies.
 Intervention Camp involves designs that support Foundational
Mathematics and/or Foundational English skills.

 Each class adviser from Grade 7-Grade 12 presented the


classroom’s Honor students and gave their certificates.
 While the program is near to its close, the school surprised
everyone with a raffle draw to all attendees. Prizes were 20 packs
or rice (2kgs each pack) and 2 Grandprize worth of P300.00 food
voucher courtesy of Tambayan sa Lapyahan in Esperanza,
Inopacan, Leyte.
 The program ended at 4:00pm and the signing of card to each
class advisory is followed at their respective classrooms. Also, the
presentation of 4th Quarter Perfect Attendance students.

List of Issues for  No proper shed for parents and learners because of the damaged
Resolutions roof .
Participant’s Feedback  Learners ,also parents, appreciate the school's support in
organizing Portfolio Day and recognizing their efforts. It's a
fantastic opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments beyond
just academic grades. The event created a sense of unity among
them as students, and it was heartwarming to witness the pride of
their parents and teachers had in their achievements.

MEANS OF VERIFICATION (MOV) DURING THE 4th


QUARTER PORTFOLIO DAY AND RECOGNITION

Inopacan NHS conducted the 4th Quarter Portfolio Day at school’s


Multipurpose Hall last July 8, 2023; Parent’s are actively listening to the NLC
discussion; Learners are recognized for their Academic Excellence for 4 th
Quarter.
