12
13
As a community manager intern at Nblik, you will be at the forefront of this dynamic
industry, actively shaping the direction of online communities and helping create spaces
where people can truly connect, share, and learn from one another.
At Nblik, our culture is characterized by a deep commitment to the values that guide us
every day:
13
14
Introduction:
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: I utilized data analytics tools to track community growth, user
engagement, and the effectiveness of various community management strategies.
Daily Operations:
My day-to-day responsibilities revolved around managing the various facets of
Nblik's online community. This encompassed tasks ranging from moderating
discussions, responding to user queries, and ensuring a positive and inclusive
environment within the platform. With a keen eye on community guidelines, I
facilitated conversations that aligned with Nblik's values, fostering an
atmosphere conducive to meaningful interactions.
14
15
Crisis Management:
Community management often involves navigating challenging situations. I
honed my crisis management skills by addressing conflicts within the community,
ensuring that issues were resolved swiftly and diplomatically. This experience
underscored the importance of maintaining a balance between freedom of
expression and upholding community guidelines.
15
16
Strategic Collaborations:
My involvement in organizing community events and initiatives facilitated
strategic collaborations with industry influencers and experts. These
collaborations not only elevated Nblik's standing within the community but also
attracted new members seeking valuable insights and networking opportunities.
Brand Advocacy:
Through personalized interactions and a focus on user satisfaction, I cultivated a
cadre of brand advocates within the community. These advocates played a
crucial role in amplifying Nblik's message, attracting new members, and
positively influencing the perception of the brand in the broader digital
landscape.
Objectives:
During my internship, I had several key objectives to achieve:
16
17
Community Growth: I aimed to increase the membership and activity levels within
the communities I managed by developing and implementing growth strategies.
Strategy:
To address this challenge, I implemented a proactive moderation strategy. This involved
closely monitoring discussions, identifying potential points of conflict, and intervening
early to redirect conversations constructively. I also reinforced the importance of
respectful communication through regular reminders and updates to the community
guidelines.
Lesson Learned:
This challenge underscored the significance of proactive moderation in maintaining a
positive community atmosphere. By addressing discord early on and guiding discussions
towards constructive paths, I not only prevented escalations but also fostered a culture of
respectful dialogue within the community.
Strategy:
17
18
I engaged in open communication with the community, clarifying the boundaries set by
community guidelines while emphasizing the importance of a diverse and inclusive
environment. Additionally, I refined the guidelines to provide clearer expectations,
ensuring that community members felt empowered to express their views within the
defined parameters.
Lesson Learned:
This challenge taught me the importance of clear communication and continuous
refinement of community guidelines. Striking a balance between freedom of expression
and adherence to guidelines requires not only clarity but also a commitment to evolving
guidelines to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Strategy:
I adopted a proactive approach to negative feedback by acknowledging concerns publicly
and working towards resolutions. Privately addressing community members allowed for
more personalized solutions. Additionally, I used negative feedback as an opportunity to
assess and refine community policies, demonstrating responsiveness to user concerns.
Lesson Learned:
This challenge emphasized the importance of transparency and responsiveness.
Acknowledging and addressing negative feedback not only defused tensions but also
showcased the community's commitment to continuous improvement.
Strategy:
To address this, I implemented automation tools for routine tasks, freeing up time for
more personalized interactions. I also recruited and trained a team of community
moderators to assist in monitoring discussions and addressing user queries. Establishing
clear communication channels and protocols streamlined collaboration within the
moderation team.
Lesson Learned:
This challenge taught me the importance of scalability in community management. By
leveraging automation and building a capable moderation team, I not only managed the
growing demands effectively but also enhanced the overall efficiency of community
operations.
18
19
Strategy:
I prioritized staying informed about platform updates, actively engaging with community
members to gather feedback on their experiences, and swiftly addressing any technical
issues. Regularly communicating upcoming changes and providing guidance on new
features helped ease the transition for community members.
Lesson Learned:
This challenge emphasized the need for adaptability in the ever-evolving digital
landscape. Staying informed, actively seeking user feedback, and addressing
technological hurdles promptly are crucial for maintaining a positive user experience
Achievements
One of my most notable achievements during the internship was the substantial growth
of a community I managed, which saw a significant increase in user engagement and
membership. This achievement was the result of effective content curation, targeted user
outreach, and data-driven decision-making.
Embarking on the Nblik Community Manager internship, I set out to not only learn but
to make a meaningful impact on the community and contribute to the organization's
growth. Over the course of this enriching experience, I encountered diverse challenges
and undertook various initiatives that not only showcased my skills but left a lasting
imprint on the Nblik community.
19
20
Tangible Impact:
1. Increased Community Engagement Metrics:
The strategic initiatives undertaken during the internship resulted in a noticeable increase
in community engagement metrics. Metrics such as active user participation, discussions
per post, and overall interaction witnessed a steady rise. The community became more
dynamic, with members actively contributing to discussions, sharing insights, and
participating in various community activities.
20
21
Attendees praised the quality of content and the seamless organization of events. These
successful executions not only strengthened community bonds but also attracted positive
attention to Nblik as a company committed to providing valuable experiences.
Intangible Impact:
1. Cultivation of a Positive Community Culture:
Perhaps one of the most rewarding intangible impacts was the cultivation of a positive
community culture. Through consistent engagement, personalized interactions, and a
commitment to inclusivity, the community transformed into a space where members felt
valued, heard, and respected. This sense of belonging contributed to a positive
atmosphere that extended beyond the digital realm.
Conclusion:
Motivation
Nblik is an interest related community and a content sharing platform in which you can
explore superlative content and make friends who share your interests. Discover topics
like - time management, productivity, health, money, communication, teamwork,
personal growth. leadership, and several other. Chat, can connect, and conspire with
people where you share your ideas and creativity. Share experiences and thoughts. We
can share content and earn money on this platform, We Can learn lot of things as
mentioned like time management, Can improve communications skills this is the main
benefit that we get from this internship all this thinks motivates me a lot Our
monetization model is not in its mature form. We are in the research process of better
21
22
Basically, there are two ways of making money on Nblik, which motivates us the most in
doing this internship though:
By writing articles-You can write articles, poems, short stories, etc. You will be paid on
the basis of engagement on your post. Make sure your article is liked and shared by your
friends. Remember, Nblik credits are transferred after bar goes 100% and bar goes to
100% only and if all Nblik writer guidelines are being followed, so make sure that you
abide by the rules.
⚫ By using the refer and earn feature - When you click on the refer and earn option of
the app, you get a link of your own, you can share that link with people through various
social media platforms. They need to make sure that they install from that link only. The
more people you refer, the more you earn.
Community managers are responsible for building and maintaining a brand's community
online and public perception. The job requires engaging audiences on a variety of outlets
including online forums, social media platforms, Slack, in-person groups, and more to
reach all audiences where they are. Since different digital spaces have unique cultures
and best practices. community managers must be the consistent tone and voice of the
brand. As a community manager, all your messaging, content, and crisis management
across networks should be prompt, consistent with your brand, and empathetic to create a
loyal and delighted community. An easily forgotten resource is an external network of
other community managers! Finding others in similar positions can be very helpful in
crowdsourcing informed solutions or leaning on experienced others who've handled
similar situations in the past. community managers also record and report the
engagement they see on at least a monthly basis. Other teams that create content operate
mostly on the backend, so it's the community manager who sees the response from
consumers. They can help track whether followers are confused, or what kinds of
changes they are seeing within digital.
3.1 Day-Wise-Task
22
23
marketed it only to an initial control group. We are in the process of building our
intelligent system to nudge the content created by our users.
23
24
Key Observations
Certainly, here are some key observations during my internship as a Community
Manager at Nblik:
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
Nblik's approach to community management heavily relied on data analytics to evaluate
community performance.
Regular data analysis was used to make informed decisions, such as identifying
underperforming communities and adjusting strategies.
24
25
Technical Challenges:
Technical issues, such as platform outages and bugs, could impact community
management efforts.
The ability to respond quickly to technical challenges was crucial to maintaining a
positive user experience.
25
26
One of the most crucial areas of growth during my internship was the development of
community management skills. I gained a deep understanding of the intricacies of
fostering and maintaining online communities. Specifically, I learned how to:
- Create and curate engaging content that resonates with the community's interests and
needs.
- Develop strategies to encourage user participation and interaction within communities.
- Implement content moderation effectively to ensure a safe and respectful community
environment.
- Resolve conflicts and address user concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Use data analytics tools to monitor community growth, engagement, and performance,
and make data-driven decisions.
These skills are invaluable in the field of community management and are transferable to
various other roles in digital marketing, social media management, and online
engagement.
2. Effective Communication:
Managing online communities often involves dealing with conflicts and tensions among
community members. I gained valuable experience in conflict resolution, which
includes:
26
27
These conflict resolution and diplomacy skills are transferrable to various roles that
involve interpersonal relations and negotiation.
- Collect and analyze data to gain insights into user behavior and community
performance.
- Make informed decisions regarding community management strategies based on data
findings.
5. Professional Networking:
Engaging with community members and collaborating with colleagues from diverse
departments expanded my professional network. This exposure allowed me to connect
with individuals who share similar career interests and offered opportunities for
knowledge exchange and future collaborations.
27
28
ability to navigate conflicts and crises is a valuable asset in maintaining a positive work
environment.
29
30
Skills Gained:
As the community grew, I recruited and trained a team of community moderators,
fostering collaboration and effective teamwork. This involved setting expectations,
providing guidance, and ensuring a cohesive approach to community management.
30
31
Benchmark Study:
To ensure that Nblik's community management practices align with industry standards, a
benchmark study was conducted. The study involved comparing Nblik's practices with
recognized industry best practices and standards within the field of community
management. Here are the key findings:
31
32
3. Content Moderation: Nblik's robust content moderation practices are in line with
industry standards. The company takes measures to prevent spam, harassment, and
inappropriate content effectively.
Nblik has many of advantages for its users. Each time you scroll you see a latest and new
article and you can acquire a lot of knowledge. It is a excellent app for content writers.
They can bring out their articles and Nblik will pay them means they will for their
content based on engagement of their article. Instead of misuse your time scrolling on
other social media apps where you don't get any benefits, you can download Nblik and
start earning by sharing your content and writing your own articles or poems. As a reader
also you can improve your reading skills and vocabulary. As a intern can improve his or
her communication skills as they work with different peoples. Nblik has a discussion
section where you can discuss and debate on various topics of your interest. Using Nhlik

33
will help you read, learn, discuss, write and earn as well. As I was an intern here it was
very beneficial for me as I learnt lot of things through this internship.
33
34
34
35
4. User Onboarding: Enhance the onboarding process for new community members.
Provide tutorials, guides, and interactive resources to help users understand how to
navigate the platform and engage with communities effectively.
1. Improved User Profiles: Enhance user profiles to allow members to showcase their
interests, expertise, and contributions within communities. This will facilitate more
targeted and meaningful connections among users.
5. Recognition and Rewards: Implement a system to recognize and reward active and
contributing community members. This can include badges, certificates, or other forms
of recognition, motivating users to participate more.
7. Accessibility: Ensure that the Nblik platform is accessible to all users, including
those with disabilities. Make sure content is easily navigable and that there are options
for users with various accessibility needs.
8. Mobile Optimization: Optimize the platform for mobile users, as many users prefer
to engage with communities on their smartphones. A user-friendly mobile experience can
increase engagement.
35
36
10. Community Health Metrics: Develop a system for measuring the health of
communities, including factors like engagement rates, user satisfaction, and content
quality. Regularly monitor these metrics and take action to address any issues.
By implementing these recommendations and suggestions, Nblik can further improve its
community management strategies and enhance the overall community experience,
ultimately providing more value to its users and fostering a strong sense of belonging
within its online communities.
Rationale:
Clear and comprehensive community guidelines are the bedrock of a positive online
community. They serve as a roadmap for community members, outlining acceptable
behavior and setting expectations. By involving the community in the refinement
process, Nblik can ensure that the guidelines not only reflect company values but also
resonate with the community's collective vision.
Rationale:
A well-designed onboarding process is crucial for new members to quickly integrate into
the community. It sets the tone for their experience and helps them understand the
36
37
platform's features and community norms. Automation can simplify this process,
ensuring consistency and efficiency in welcoming new members.
Rationale:
Diverse and personalized content keeps community members engaged and fosters a
sense of inclusivity. By leveraging data analytics, Nblik can gain insights into the content
preferences of different segments of the community, allowing for targeted content
creation that resonates with specific user groups.
Rationale:
Diversifying community platforms provides members with options that suit their
preferred modes of interaction. Integration with popular platforms can also facilitate the
sharing of content and discussions, broadening the reach of Nblik's community and
attracting new members from different online spaces.
Rationale:
As the community grows, advanced moderation tools become essential for managing the
increased volume of interactions. Sentiment analysis and automated filtering can help
identify and address potentially harmful content swiftly, ensuring a safer and more
positive community environment.
Rationale:
Gamification adds an element of fun and competition to the community, motivating
members to actively participate and contribute. Recognizing and rewarding members for
37
38
their contributions enhances their sense of achievement and fosters a deeper connection
with the community.
Rationale:
Industry partnerships can elevate Nblik's standing within the community and attract new
members seeking valuable insights. Collaborations with influencers and thought leaders
also enhance the credibility of Nblik as a hub for industry knowledge and networking.
Rationale:
Community moderation is a dynamic role that requires continuous learning and
adaptation. Providing training opportunities ensures that moderators are equipped to
handle evolving challenges and maintain a high standard of community management. A
well-trained moderation team contributes significantly to the overall health of the
community.
Rationale:
Community feedback is a valuable resource for understanding user needs and
perceptions. Regular surveys demonstrate a commitment to user satisfaction and provide
actionable insights for refining community strategies. Transparent communication about
changes based on feedback builds trust and engagement.
Rationale:
Monetization can provide the resources needed to enhance and sustain the community
while offering additional value to members. However, it is crucial to approach
38
39
monetization strategies with sensitivity to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the
community.
This objective aligns with Nblik's mission of connecting people, as a more engaged
community leads to more meaningful interactions. By fostering a sense of belonging and
encouraging users to share their knowledge, experiences, and insights, I can help Nblik
build a stronger and more closely-knit community. This, in turn, enhances Nblik's
reputation as a platform that facilitates genuine connections and knowledge-sharing.
To support the first objective, I plan to create and manage a content calendar for Nblik's
community. This content calendar will include a schedule of posts, discussions, and
events that cater to the interests and needs of the community members. It will help in
maintaining a consistent flow of content, keeping the community engaged, and ensuring
that the platform remains a valuable resource for users.
The content calendar objective is in line with Nblik's goal of providing a structured and
organized platform for users to connect and exchange knowledge. By planning and
delivering content systematically, I contribute to the platform's reliability, making it a
go-to place for users seeking information and community engagement.
This objective supports Nblik's mission to continuously improve and evolve the
platform. By providing valuable insights through data analysis, I can contribute to
Nblik's efforts to create a more user-centric and efficient community platform, ultimately
39
40
aligning with the organization's goal of making Nblik the best place for knowledge
sharing and connection.
Developing strong relationships with community members is crucial for the success of
Nblik. I aim to create a strategy that focuses on connecting with active users,
understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns or suggestions they may have.
By actively participating in discussions, showing appreciation for members'
contributions, and being responsive to their inquiries, I will build a rapport that fosters
trust and loyalty.
This objective aligns with Nblik's broader mission of connecting people, as strong
relationships within the community lead to a more supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
By ensuring that users feel valued and heard, I contribute to the sense of community and
togetherness that Nblik seeks to establish.
In conclusion, my internship objectives for the Nblik Community Manager role are
designed to enhance community engagement, provide structured content, monitor
performance through data analysis, and build strong relationships with community
members. These objectives not only benefit Nblik's mission and goals but also contribute
to a more vibrant, connected, and informed community on the platform. I am excited to
work towards achieving these objectives and playing my part in Nblik's journey towards
creating a thriving and meaningful community.
Outcomes
The outcome of this course was to have a better understanding of the role and
responsibility of the community manager and acquire Strategies that will help the
community manager efficiently fulfill those role and responsibilities. To build the
positive relationships with the members of your community -- whether they have a
positive impression of your brand or a negative one you're building a reputable and
trustworthy brand perception. Online communities offer benefits throughout the
customer lifecycle - but only if they are managed well. By consolidating your brand
presence and making it easy to view your full array of content in one place, communities
drive stickiness. The First outcome was that you should be able to apply the
"transformation model" to identify the inputs, transformation processes and outputs of
the communities.
The transformation model is a tool for analysing any type of community in terms of the
inputs, transformation process and outputs involved in the community manager function.
This session described the transformation model and Activity 4 gave you the chance to
apply it to a number of very different communities.
40
41
They give a single view of the customer journey, from the first piece of content
downloaded. through to webinars and live events, to being a customer and beyond. The
engagement with customers and more consistent interaction provided by a community
boosts retention, due to the personal relationship you are able to cultivate with each one
of your customers. Over the long term, consistently engaging your customers in a
community setting will mean more positive word-of-mouth, meaning your brand will
develop more concrete leads over the long term. However, it is vital that your community
is managed closely and with great attention to detail; a poorly-run community where
customers' needs are not met will have the inverse effect on your long-term growth.
